Q: I have a Sony Hi8 and Mini DV recorder deck and both have a DV connector on the front.Just recently I bought a mac pro and there is only Wire Fire ports.I have and will use Final Cut Pro X for cutting/editing.Is there any cable or adapter available to connect the Sony and mac for this?Thanks for any help and suggestions ?: dv connector is also firewire. Sony does not use the term firewire because that is a trademark term owned by Apple, and no camcorder manufactures can use that name with out paying a royalty. So Sony calls it DV instead. all you need to make this work is a cable that has the Mac 9 pin firewire connector on one end and either a 4 pin or 6 pin DV connector on the other side.

Q: I have 1 red and 2 yellow composite connectors on my tv, Roku requires 1 red, 1 yellow and 1 white connector. Do you think just yellow and red would work? any suggestions? Thanks: REALLY ODD: Could be one of two things. 1) That the connectors are miss labeled. In that case, plug red -red, and then try to plug the yellow and white into the two yellow. If that doesn't work reverse the white / yellow. 2) The TV is mono. In that case, plug in one the red and yellow connectors. Anyways, try matching up the pins in the manual to what the cables say they are. And be careful not to break them, they break too easily.

Q: I have an additional hdd I want to install in my Dell pc (windows xp professional). The system has separate dvd and cd rw drives in it on one cable. The original hard drive cable only has one end on it (hooked up to original hdd). If I aquire a cable with two ends can I just hook up the second drive? (orig. master, new drive slave). I want to use the 2nd hdd to store pictures and music. What do I have to do to the 2nd hdd once installed, i.e. partition, format, etc?: grasp HDD connects to the tip of the ribbon cable. Slavecontinual connects to the mid-connector. it is terrific to connect grasp to the capability connector closest to capability grant (much less cord resistance).

Q: I just finished my pc build, and everything's good except the P4 connector, which connects the power supply to the motherboard. This is not the 24-pin connector, but rather the 4-pin connector which gives the cpu extra power. However, the motherboards' connector is 8-pin. The 4-pin fits in perfectly in the 1st 4 pins, and i understand the 8-pin is only for giving extra power to the cpu in the event that expansion cards/drives require more power. Will I be able to run my pc with only the 4-pin connector? I have one hard drive, one dvd burner, and no expansion cards.: so a techniques as ram is going my comp facilitates as much as 32gb of ram allowed, and that's greater advantageous to have 4 4gb sticks, Than to have 2 16gb, reason being ram travels swifter by using smaller reminiscence sticks. Me for my area so a techniques as ability grant is going i could improve to a minimum of 500watt unit. keeps the comp unit cool and if u ever improve the photos card, you will choose the greater ability

Q: I have a Sony KV-24FS100 and the place where you plug the antennae RF in is broken. My tuner is 100% good and I am happy with my TVs performance, so I don't want to replace the tuner or the TV. Everything else is in perfect condition except the place where you plug the RF in. Is there any way I can fix it? The place where there were threads is gone, all that's left is a small circular tube, the size of the connector thing that's a little behind where the thing used to be. If you can, please, at least tell what its called. Your help, would be very very appreciated. Thank You.: It's called a Type F connector. The one on the TV would be a panel mount female Type F connector. The parts are inexpensive. Replacing it will take a bit of soldering. If you don't have any experience with that, you should probably take it to a shop.

Q: I have never had to change out any of my circuit breakers yet, but I bought some, to have on hand just in case.My Breaker box is a Square D, so I got that kind of breakers.I noticed when I got home that the 40A breaker had two silver and two brass connectors on the bottom.But the 30A had two silver connectors and only one brass connector.Is this the way they are suppose to be? Or did I get some that are missing a connector?: Mine doesn't have but one connection point on each breaker, 220 has a connection on each of the double pole breakers,but maybe i missed something there.
