- Q: suppose that a y5v ceramic capacitor has a charge of 40 volts and we have a 10 supercapacitors that are in series has a rating of 6 volts each. can this y5v ceramic capacitor charge the series of supercapacitor?will their voltage be the same at least? thank you for the answer.
- The capacitance of the ceramic cap will be 8 to 10 orders of magnitude smaller than the supercaps, so there is no way it could charge them. Supercaps should not be used or charged in series unless you also use a good voltage balancing circuit to keep the voltages across each cap nearly equal.
- Q: i‘ve always wanted to take pottery/ceramic classes. but they‘re expensive and i‘m broke and can‘t find a job :( i found this art store and they sell ceramic sculpting kits and glazes and paints for good prices plus they‘re good quality. and i found this book that teaches you techniques about ceramic clay sculpting. so i was thinking maybe i can learn it at home through this book and do it at home in my basement. but i‘m kind of clueless with different types of clay and firing and designs. so is it possible to learn by reading it from a guide book? or is it better to save up for a year and take classes?also anyone know any good online website/video lessons?
- From my experience tackling new mediums (which I tend to do a lot) there are pros and cons to teaching yourself something. On one hand, it's cheap! With the growing popularity of the DIY movement and some help from your local library, you will probably be able to find plenty of tutorials to help you get started. Practice is the best way to learn something, and you don't have to pay someone while you fiddle around with clay. That being said, it is sometimes more economical in the long run to take classes. You have the benefit of individual help, which will mean way less trial and error and thus faster learning. It is usually a lot easier to be taught rather than stumble through piles of resources until you find something that works. You also will probably learn said medium much more thoroughly, and a solid foundation can be well worth the money. In the specific case of ceramics, I think it's worth it to take the class simply because the equipment you will need is very expensive. To fire clay, you have to use a kiln that can heat up to as high as 2500 degrees F. They are very expensive, and because of possible dangers at that temperature I'm not sure if DIY is a good thing to try. If you intend to throw vessels on a potter's wheel, you will need to buy that too. Don't be enticed by the super cheap ones like I was; they don't work well at all. It has also been my experience that kits aren't really that great, but sometimes they're a good way to start something. I would ask an artist rather than a salesperson about the kit if you really want it. If you want to practice sculpting you could always buy regular clay and just let it air dry. It will melt if it gets wet, but the practice can be useful while you wait for a class to be available.
- Q: My Dentist said there only 300$ more and I wil have ceramic on both top and lower teeth however will they have the same effect and do they look weird or no?
- I extremely have the regularly occurring metallic braces, i'm 22 and that i have been given them because compaired to the ceramic braces they are going to upward thrust up to not elementary meals and that i visit get diverse hues. To imagine that you'll extremely no longer eat what you're literally not meant to is loopy, I nonetheless eat even with i decide on, yet I look after my braces too. medical doctors tell childrens and youthful ones that particular issues are undesirable, because childrens and youthful ones are literally not very in charge at the same time as it includes cleansing and being concerned for his or her braces. Its as a lot as you, yet ceramic ones ought to have you ever again contained in the workplace getting them fixed better oftentimes then you actually'd prefer to be. metallic ones are not that undesirable, and that i have not had a topic with them yet and that i practically done with my treatment. Which ever you decide on, reliable success with them!
- Q: Which brand of ceramic knives is of good quality?
- Global top ten brands of ceramic cutting tools:1, Zwilling - Germany was born in 1731, through foreign acquisitions and technological improvements, has become the world's highest standard of cutting tool symbol.2, Delisle - Germany was founded in 1818, is a high-tech engineering group in Germany, in the field of material technology has unique advantages.
- Q: Types and applications of industrial ceramics
- 2. zircon ceramics (zircon ceramics)Zircon ceramics (zircon ceramics) refers to the zircon (ZrSiO4) as the main component of the ceramic.Properties: zircon (ZrSiO4) ceramic has good thermal shock resistance, acid resistance, alkali resistance and chemical stability, but poor. Zircon ceramic thermal expansion coefficient and low thermal conductivity, the flexural strength can be maintained without decreased at 1200~1400 DEG C, but its poor mechanical properties, similar to the general production process of special ceramics.Application:1) zircon as refractory materials, has been in the production of glass balls and glass fibers with low alkali aluminoborosilicate glass furnace has been widely used, zircon ceramics with high electric conductivity and mechanical properties of dielectric, can also be used as an electrical insulator and spark plugs etc.;2) mainly used in the manufacture of high strength high temperature electric porcelain, porcelain boat, crucible, high temperature furnace, sintering furnace, furnace lining, infrared radiation ceramics, etc.;3) can be made of thin-walled products - crucible, thermocouple tube, nozzle, thick wall products - mortar etc.;4) studies show that zircon has chemical stability, mechanical stability, thermal stability and radiation stability, has good tolerance to U, Pu, Am, Np, Nd, Pa and other actinides, curing steel high level radioactive waste (HLW) materials ideal;Study on the relationship between the production process and mechanical properties of zircon ceramics has not been reported, to some extent hindered the further research on its performance, the application of zircon ceramics limited.
- Q: I bought a ceramic casserole to boil medicine because every 10 minutes over time. The trouble to buy a cooker, but can not be used for electromagnetic oven ceramic casserole, listen to others say that it is a ceramic iron in the casserole and then put them in the electromagnetic oven, cooker and the contact surface is casserole you can put a sheet of heat transfer, is it? Do you have a friend to try it out? If you can... UnfoldThank you very much for your help. I can't help it. I can only put it on the gas stove. Everyone's answer is very helpful, but I can only choose one, and the others are really embarrassed!
- Not placed between the magnetic stove panel and casserole contact surface should be placed in casserole, but heating this effect is not good, you can go to the market to see if there is a special magnetic furnace special casserole, the price is not expensive 30 yuan,

- Warriors are known to be a bit fragile. Deciding which stick is better is completely up to you and which one you feel works better for you. Everyone has their own likes and dislikes.
- Q: which do you prefer, ceramic hair irons which is said won‘t harm your hair or the regular hair straightening irons that are inexpensive?
- Helllo! (: Ceramic hair irons, imo, are better because they create a more sleek and soft look. They don't completely leave your hair unharmed but they do less damage. Regular hair irons sometimes damage your hair more than you think. Ceramic irons aren't always that expensive; you can find some decent ones around $20 or even try searching for some on OKorder. Remember, your stuck with your hair forever, so why not make the best of it. (: * Hope I helped.
- Q: Hi, We‘ve just restored our hall floorboards, the room looks great. However the transition into the kitchen is approx 22mm in height. The kitchen has a ceramic tile finish. I‘m struggling to find a reducer bar to handle in the transition, all those I find go up to 20mm. Are there any products out there to handle a larger transition. Or should I somehow try to build up one of the 20mm reducers to a greater height. Thanks a lot.
- Sand: finely divided rock and mineral particles, typically high in silica (silicon dioxide: SiO2). # Soda ash: sodium carbonate: Na2CO3. # Dolomite: calcium magnesium carbonate: CaMg(CO3)2. # Limestone: a sedimentary rock composed largely of the mineral calcite (calcium carbonate: CaCO3). # Salt cake: sodium sulfate, the sodium salt of sulfuric acid: Na2SO4.
- Q: Does anyone know if I should seal my ceramic tile counter tops and with what. I have the grout sealed but the tiles look dull.
- If you have ceramic tile it is not necessary to seal it. The tile is ceramic and then it has a coating baked onto to it to give it color. Usually ceramic tile is glossy. However, there is a finish called Matte. It will still be sealed but it won't be very shiny. This is by design. If you would like the tile to be shiny I would recommend using a product by StoneTech called High Gloss Lacquer. It is rated for exterior use so it will easily hold up to any of your demands. You just paint it on like you are painting a wall with a brush and roller. The lacquer also will provide much much more protection for the grout which always takes a beating on countertops.
