Q: The bases of ceramic are made of something what is it?
No prob . Brakes are working fine just slow down throttle gear down!! Speed cant be scrubbed off with only applying the rear brake.
Q: Can I use ceramic plate to heat food in the microwave? (say, 90° for 4 minutes). Will it break? I use ceramic glass to heat my milk and it doesn‘t break, but maybe that‘s because it contains liquid?
You asked an interesting question but dropped the ball after the word plastic. My question to you is plastic what? Stop leak additives don't seal plastic radiator end tanks, coolant recovery reservoirs or plastic intake manifolds.
Q: I‘m a 20yo female getting braces on TOMORROW for the first time, and I am in a major dilemma. Money is not an issue in this decision, because ceramics cost the same as metal braces. Also, I have to get metal braces on my bottom teeth no matter what. What I‘m more worried about is the look of them, but I‘m kind of opposite of everyone. I don‘t care about the looks of the metal braces, but I‘m worried the ceramic braces are going to look weird. Also, I drink coffee often, and eat a lot of foods with red sauce, so I‘m very concerned with staining. However, I‘ve also heard that ceramic braces are more comfortable than metal braces. So. I just don‘t know! I‘d really appreciate any and all opinions, experiences, and advice regarding this matter! Thanks!
I have ceramic on top and metal on the bottom, and the ceramic seems to cause less irritation, coz the metal on the bottom has made my cheeks all cut. The ceramic is also usually slightly larger then metal brackets, but not all that different. I dont know anything about the staining and stuff as i have only recently gotten mineeee. good luck (:
Q: Just wondering if you can use ceramic hair straightners on damp hair, thanks
No, It's not a great idea, in the short term it can damage your hair and make it frizzy but long term, it will damage the straighteners. You be better to just invest in a good hair dryer that will dry your hair quicker. Or you can get 2 in 1 hair dryers and straighteners which might help.
Q: I was given a few ceramic pieces that need to be glazed, but I need a little help. After looking around online, I have seen where a lot of people are concerned with metals being released from their ceramic piece into their food/drink. As I want to use these pieces to serve/eat food on them, can any one help me?? Maybe someone knows a little more about this, or a good brand. Anything would be most helpful!!
If you go to a ceramics store, the glazes you want are mark Food Safe. They will also be able to fire (heat to an appropriately high temperature for the glaze --- different kinds of glazes require different temperatures) your pieces in a kiln after you glaze them (follow instructions on the jar for # of coats needed.) Also, glazes' typically are applied to pieces that have been bisqued (heated to a temperature that will at least begin to fuse the clay) instead of greenware (shaped unbaked clay -- you can test it by scratching with a fingernail in an unseen spot-- if dry mud is under your nail, it's greenware) which can be painted using underglazed then fired then glazed. Look at the jar carefully, not all glazes are food safe. You might also check out classes at your local community college.
Q: I‘m going into the eighth grade and going to have them until Sophomore year. I just wanted to know what would be better; all metal, or the top ceramic and the bottom metal. I have an overbite so I can‘t have all ceramic. Pros and Cons would be great. Thank you in advance :)
Go by the trunk sticker.
Q: Ive heard that metal braces/ gold braces work faster than the ceramic clear ones. IS this true? Does anyone know if you can put colours on the gold metal braces? Also does anyone know of any other types of braces? (P.s I know about invisiline)
I currently got ceramic braces on my top teeth, and in less than the first month, I started seeing great results on my teeth. They are comfortable and don t cut your mouth, they move fast but you can t feel it at all. Once in a blue moon do I ever feel that my mouth is sore. It will hurt when you first get them, but they do stick on pretty good. They don t stain either.
Q: Okay so im getting bracs and want to know about ceramic braces. Are they really all that visible or no? and can you tell from close up or not?
HAHAHAHAHHAHA!! Thats me!!!! :-) I can change the oil in my car in about 15 minutes, but I have SUCH a problem with those snap on windshield wiper blades! I don't know why it's SO frustrating! I have to get help from my little brother it's embarrassing! :-) ** how did you know of my shame!
Q: does anyone know if you can go over ceramic tile with glass tile, without removing the ceramic tile first?
Best to remove the ceramic tile but to answer your question, yes you can do it. The tile needs to be down solid and tight. The mortar suggested for use on glass tile has the strength and is the recommended mortar to use in bonding to ceramic. There are several precautions that need to be followed when bonding to ceramic. But it can be done and have done several jobs, bonding to ceramic. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar. GL
Q: what's the difference between them?
Ceramic is a stone that locks in moisture and doesnt damage hair where a non ceramic damages your hair and gives you split ends.
