- Q: suppose that a y5v ceramic capacitor has a charge of 40 volts and we have a 10 supercapacitors that are in series has a rating of 6 volts each. can this y5v ceramic capacitor charge the series of supercapacitor?will their voltage be the same at least? thank you for the answer.
- you know what is so good!!! that oxy-clean laundry detergent. wet a towel with some oxy-clean,rub it on the stain and then throw it in the wash with detergent and the oxy-clean too. it works great. it's expensive, but it gets all kind of stains out, even red wine!!!
- Q: Bathroom countertops, microcrystalline stone good, or ceramic good?
- Microcrystalline stone is good, high strength, high water law, low. It's tough, crystal clear and solid. In fact, marble is also quite good, such as gray, jazz white, and non reticulate.
- Q: do ceramic straightners really have no damage to hair, or does it still damage your hair since it‘s still direct heat.
- KN but i prefer AFE Stage II
- Q: is epoxy a ceramic?
- NO. Epoxies are organic in nature while ceramics are inorganic. Ceramics are made from intensely heating up mixture of clay-like materials and earth stuff unless they become rock solids. Epoxies when dried becomes hard also but it is because of the chemical reaction of organic compounds.
- Q: I have a fluval 305 filter which has six ‘chambers‘ inside, three have ceramic rings and three have carbon in. If i were to remove the carbon from some or all of the chambers and replace them with ceramic rings would this improve my filtration capacity or make no difference?
- The ceramic rings are for bio-filtering, lots of space for bacteria, The Carbon is chemical filtering, where the carbon soaks up stray arganic chemicals. As I dont use carbon in any of my tanks I would take it out and add more bio-media, but thats just my preference. Water changes will make up for the lack of carbon. Ian
- Q: For our new house i want to know what should i use in Kitchen. Ceramic Tiles or marbles
- Marble tiles will become dull in tile because the kitchen is a heavy traffic area. I am a tile man, I do not recommend marble tile in the kitchen floor. Have you considered porcelain tiles? They are hard, durable and some have the look of marble. For more information, see my web site.
- Q: I was given a few ceramic pieces that need to be glazed, but I need a little help. After looking around online, I have seen where a lot of people are concerned with metals being released from their ceramic piece into their food/drink. As I want to use these pieces to serve/eat food on them, can any one help me?? Maybe someone knows a little more about this, or a good brand. Anything would be most helpful!!
- If you go to a ceramics store, the glazes you want are mark Food Safe. They will also be able to fire (heat to an appropriately high temperature for the glaze --- different kinds of glazes require different temperatures) your pieces in a kiln after you glaze them (follow instructions on the jar for # of coats needed.) Also, glazes' typically are applied to pieces that have been bisqued (heated to a temperature that will at least begin to fuse the clay) instead of greenware (shaped unbaked clay -- you can test it by scratching with a fingernail in an unseen spot-- if dry mud is under your nail, it's greenware) which can be painted using underglazed then fired then glazed. Look at the jar carefully, not all glazes are food safe. You might also check out classes at your local community college.
- Q: It is a bathroom floor in good conditions but the color is wrong. Should I paint it, remove it, or put vinyl tiles over it?
- yes. okay for seedlings
- Q: Are ceramic fibers the same as aluminum silicate fibers?
- Aluminum silicate is in accordance with the chemical title, SI, O, AL is its main component; and the main component of ceramic is also the above three components, so the use of ceramic fiber is more user-friendly
- Q: I heard ceramic coated stuff can be bad for you. How about steel? I‘m kind of leaning more towards steel because I can‘t find any websites saying it‘s even potentially bad for you. However I like the non-stick factor of ceramic. It‘s just if you google Is Your Ceramic Cookware Slowly Killing You? or Ceramic Coated Cooking Pans May be Killing You With Color it makes me kind of leery of it. All I want to do is freaken scramble some eggs. But I don‘t want to freaken die of cancer because of it.
- For eggs you are probably pretty safe using one of the ceramic coated pans. I say this for several reasons. 1. Eggs are generally cooked at a lower heat so there is less chance for burning off any coating. 2. If this is all you use the pan for and you use safe utensils there is less likely hood of you scratching the surface causing bits of the coating to be ingested. If you want a good set of cookware a good stainless steel that has a core that will aid in heat transfer is a good choice. It takes getting used to cooking in a pan that does not have a non stick surface but after a few meals you get the hang of it. Hot pan, cold oil then food won't stick. Don't fuss with stuff, it will release when properly seared. Ceramic or enameled cast iron is nice but it is heavy. Cast iron is also very nice but it needs to be treated properly. If you take all the reports that come out about anything we will all die of something.OH wait.we will.never mind.
