- Q: I'm debating on buying a baby bouncer chair for my baby boy who is due in December..but is it worth it or you can use something else..
- Personally, I would say get one. My 2 month old nephew LOVES his bouncer. It often gets him to stop crying when nothing else will. I've also learned they are great for little power naps when you don't want to move them to the crib or if they are staying the night with someone who doesn't have a crib and you would prefer them not to co-sleep. Warning though, don't put your baby in it after they are circumcised. Wait until your son has healed up down there or he will be sore from the bouncer. If you don't want to buy one put it on your registry for the baby shower. They aren't too expensive at Wal-Mart. If you don't get it at the baby shower look around at garage or yard sales, ask friends if they have any from when their baby was younger, or look at consignment shops like Goodwill or Once Upon a Child.
- Q: Where can I find a round, fiberglass shell like they use for egg/ball chairs? it looks like this:
- covering in Italian leather or velvet fabric - Covering sewing by hand - Fiberglass molded to make sure nice curving - Swivel base in polished stainless steel -With tilting function -Ottoman for optional Another matrial for egg chair is rattan
- Q: Just wondering how to go about this. I have four table chairs that i would like to re stain. I tried just sanding it but the old varnish clogs the paper really fast. I tried paint stripper but when I go to remove it I always get tiny splashes that some how get onto my skin and burn like a mofo. I'm using gloves but some always gets on my face, not so good. Could I just soak the chairs in water that has a bit of paint stripper?
- Do not soak the chairs in water, it would swell the wood and loosen the glue in the joints. What I suggest is that you get the citrus type of stripper that isn't caustic to your skin. Use the stripper as directed on the container then sand away any remaining marks until your chairs are bare and ready for a new application of finish. I've used the citrus stripper successfully several times. Just allow everything to dry well before you sand again. You'll have to be patient but you'll be pleased with the results. Good luck with your project.
- Q: I work from home and wanted to know what is the best office chair or back support for my home office that will not cost me an arm and a leg. Thanks.
- The best chair for other people might not be the best chair for you, so you should pick it out yourself. This article will give some good tips on what to look for in a chair that will give good support:
- Q: right in front of me with no one else here...should I be worried, because I just got comfortable?
- Someone from the past is trying to tell you something.
- Q: i had the chair removed frm fireplace 2 have a gasfire fitted........now we wish 2 reopen fire and go bck 2 the real thing........i need 2 no how do i go bout getting the chair replaced and who do u go 2 , 2 fit it back as i can not remba who took it out as it was 18yrs go
- The term 'chair' regarding a fireplace is new to me, and I don't know where you are from. In the US, look up 'fireplaces' (or possibly chimneys) in the yellow pages. Real fireplaces--made of firebrick, not an insert--are a lost art, so a typical bricklayer (mason) may not know how to do them.
- Q: I'm new to trying D-I-Y projects and I just bought a rocking chair in great condition for a steal, but I hate the designs and I need a project for it. It's stained a dark brown and has these weird fruit designs on it. How do I get the stain off? And does anyone have any cool ideas for the finishing touch??
- Good timing. I'm sitting at the console at work in a rocker chair. Bored and restless, rocking trying to stay awake.
- Q: I have 2 pine log rocking chairs that are beautiful. I want to keep them that way but do not want to darken the wood. I've had alot of advise, from tung oil to linseed oil etc. I want the finish to be water proof as well. thanks!
- I would definitely go with tung oil. It is very durable, waterproof and easy to apply. It just rubs on with a cloth. Low odor. dries quickly. About $7. a can. Enough for a couple of chairs. You can apply 3 or more coats if you wish. Wait for the proper dry time between coats. Each coat makes a more durable finish. I used Formby's tung oil over 25 years ago on an unfinished pine cabinet. I applied 2 or 3 coats. It has held up beautifully. I also used it on a refinished 100 year old+ oak buffet. The finish still looks like new and has remained waterproof for over 25 years.
- Q: My baby is 5 and a half months old and we will be getting her a feeding chair soon but can't decide on a high chair or one that you attach to the table. Which is the better option? Any advice greatly appreciated!
- I okorder you can get many great deals on high chairs and other used things. The cool thing with a high chair is that even if you get it used you can still wash all the parts and have it like brand new for less money.
- Q: i really want a bubble chair for my room..i dont want to spend alot of money on it though!
