Q: My house was built 3 years ago and the second floor squeaks and gives when walked on. I am not talking about one area but many many areas.: Floor joists if properly sized and spaced should not noticeable deflect when walked on and squeaking could result. Squeaking could also occur from movement of floor boards across the joists, if not nailed securely or if the spacing between joists are too great. Normally a bedroom floor would be designed for a live load of about 30 lb./s.f. The size of joists and their spacing would depend on their unsupported span.

Q: My living area is a little bit wavy in some areas. Will I be able to install laminate flooring or would a pliable floor cover, like carpet or linoleum, be my only option?: It's possible to install it and have it look decent, but in time the space under some of the flooring will result in visible cracks and seperations. If you're dead set on laminate, just start by using a concrete based floor leveler to fill in just the low spots. A decent home center will have everything you need, the concrete leveler and additive runs about $20 and $8 respectively.

Q: I will be using prepaded laminate flooring on top of a concrete slab. Do I need to use an adhesive ? How does the floor stay down ?: I am assuming that you mean a laminate wood floor glue is not normally used but read the manufacturers instructions You are putting it over concrete then you also need to put a vapor barrier down or your floor will absorb the moisture through the concrete and swell and become garbage

Q: then sea floor spreading into theory of plate tectonics: right here... i guess this might stump u... if we developed from monkeys... why do little ones come out like people... not monkeys... or why are there nevertheless monkeys... and the only resemblance is the palms and ft ( even there theirs are plenty hairier)

Q: Fillinger strengthen the composite floor which series of good?: Filingel quality control is almost the same, to see which series you like.

Q: We have just bought a house with tile floors. They are 12x12 tiles and are very textured, (groves all over them, that a can get clean). Does anyone one have any ways of cleaning them. I was using bleach water, but I am pregnant and smelling bleach has already sent me to the hospital once. So I need something else that will clean them.Please give me some ideas, on what I can do to cut down on my floor cleaning time.Thanks for all your help!: small amount of white vinegar to 2 gallons of water. about a quarter of a cup.

Q: I intend on putting vinyl flooring over top.Plywood or leveler?: u don't need any plywood because u can laid the vinyl over concrete leveler is only as the name said ,to level the floor en case of ,of course ,un-level floor good luck my friend
