Q: Carpet laying mainly includes fixed type and unfixed type; It can be paved all over the room or partially.: Carpet paving method: it is divided into non fixed type and fixed type. It is divided into full paving and local paving according to the paved area. When the carpet is often rolled up or moved, it is appropriate to lay an unfixed carpet. The cut edges of the carpet shall be bonded and spliced into a whole piece, which shall be directly paved on the ground, not pasted with the ground, and the four sides shall be trimmed along the foot of the wall. The fixed paving method can be used for occasions that do not need to be rolled up and do not bulge under the promotion of external force, such as the front waist of the corridor. The cut edge of the carpet shall be bonded and stitched into a whole piece, and the back of the carpet shall be fixed with the ground with adhesive or wooden card strip (barbed board) with small hook facing the sky.

Q: What is the best way of cleaning the fixed carpet?: use vacuum cleaner to clean up.

Q: want to clean carpet that has paint and glue in it without fading or ruin carpet ?: You can usually remove spilled paint and glue with scissors. Often these products are just on the very tips of the fibers. If this is the case you can just snip them off with sharp scissors. Just cut the very tips of the fibers. Work slowly. Don't cut a single millimeter more than you have to and pull up while cutting. This will help prevent divots in the carpet. Try your best to do just one or two fibers at a time...not a whole clump. And dissect the spills first by cutting them in half or thirds, so that you separate clumps. This will work unless you have already used a solvent and have worked the products into the carpet. Also...cutting the nail polish works on shag or plush carpet, but not Berber or loopy carpet. Good luck. -

Q: i have a extra room in my house that used to be a lil girls room. the carpet is sort of a reddish pinkish color. i dont have a girl anymore and would like to turn the room into a play room for my son. can i dye the carpet? if so wat colors could i change it to and where could i get the dye?: The easiest and surest way to change the color is to change the carpet. If the present carpet is nylon, there is no way to dye it evenly. Go to commercial carpet installer house and purchase an end run from a job of a color that works for you...you will spend far less money doing this than trying to dye a carpet that will make a mess. Choose level loop commercial carpet....will never wear out under residential use.

Bedbugs have incomplete metamorphosis so they don't really have a larvae, they have nymphs. Larvae look totally different than the adult while Nymphs look almost identical to the adult ... only smaller.

Q: cats knocked oil lamp on carpet, contents spilled: I'm going with Norman777 on this one. chances are the carpet is ruined in that spot already. Adding another flammable solvent to it will only make it worse. The padding underneath will absorb it and keep wicking it back to the carpet for days. The carpet WILL delaminate from the backing and ripple up, and leave you with an area in need of a repair. Long story short, get ready to call a carpet guy. If you don't have any excess carpet from that room, you'll want to go get a piece of rem carpet and pad from a carpet outlet that's big enough to do the closet you are going to get the piece to repair that area out of. Total cost of about $125-$225 depending on where you live and how decent the guy that does it is. By decent I mean nice, quality of work is a moot point since it really won't match perfectly for a couple of months at least. Just make sure they replace the pad also. Good Luck.

Q: I am trying to find a practical solution to carpeting my basement with pets and kids in the house. I was looking at carpet tile because I can just replace a worn or stained piece. Has anyone here used carpet tile? What brand did you buy and how did it hold up? Can this be easily installed or do I need a pro? Any tips?: Yes carpet tiles are wonderful if you have children and pets. My brother has 4 children a dog and a cat and we put carpet tile in his basement and it seems wonderful he bought an extra box just to save for accidents and if somebody spilled something or something happened to the carpet. We just pull one up put another one in and it's great i highly suggest carpet tiles with a bunch of children and pets.
