Brick-and-mortar store like Best Buy may carry brand/model-specific adapter, or a universal one (basically, it comes with different tips for different laptops). OKorder has something like that, as well. Alternatively, you can check out the Dell website for the adapter that you need. Also, try chatting up with a service representative to see if they'll help you get a new one.

Q: I dropped my computer nd now the charger doesn't work, but the computer is fine. i've had my computer for over a year so my 1 year warrenty is over. I need to get a new charger but i don't want to buy one of the internet, or get one from toshiba, they overcharge for EVERYTHING, so yea is their a store that will sell me a charger. This is not a do-it-yourself repair, unless you are a skilled electronics technician. Expect to pay a shop between $75 - $125 for it.

I would also highly suggest you not using another charger that is not built for your laptop. This my damage internal hardware and is not cheap to get fixed. Whenever there is someone who comes into the store asking for charger help, I redirect them to TopMic. If you google them, their site should pop up. Q: I just bought a kindle fire at a yard sale. For 140.00 it came with 2 cases. And a charger. The charger isn't charging. It says lg on the charger. It looks like a phone charger. When i put the charger in it doesn't but the time of the battery decreases very slowly. Q: I got the samsung impression about two weeks ago.About a week and a half ago, my friend and I realized we had the same charger, or so it looked.She spent the night, and the next morning just grabbed one of the chargers. It worked fine at first, but Since then, my phone won't charge very well, like I would have to jiggle and push the charger for it to finally say charging, and sometimes, it would even stop charging and keep going. It's weird. I have dropped my phone, but only like 4 times. And it still worked fine. But tonight, I tried for about 20 min trying to get the charge sign to pop up. I jiggled it. Took out the battery, went to different plugs, everything.My friend and I are switching chargers tomorrow. Hopefully it will work?Does it sound like my phone or the charger?It was working as fine as it was before last night, and I hadn't dropped it today or anything.: even with the same chargers, which phone companies are doing now adays. lg's phones usually have same, samsungs usually will have same. you could have damaged the charger port on your handset. the only way to really know is to try a different charger and see if it works, if both chargers do not work it is your phone. also, jiggling the charger connector usually means that your phone isn't fitting it well, so I believe it is your phone, but try the other charger before you pay for a replacement handset.
