But when it is plugged in it does charge and when I take it out the battery will be charged normally. Attempt to use a different electrical outlet. 5. Test out with a different laptop. Always, the LED light of charger needs to be constantly on. If not, replace the defective charger. Q: I have a dell studio 1555 the charger is breaking and ive done all sorts of repair work, i found my old dell and it came with an 150WATT charger (Latitude D420) and the charger with the 1555 is a 90watt. i was wondering would i be able to use the 150WATT charger?
