Q:i have a Toro Cordless Trimmer. The Battery is a 12v7.2 AH. the charger that was included (12vDC9.5W)has been spliced and does not illuminate the red light, on the weed wacker, when plugged in. I am wondering if i could use a different charger (12VDC500mA)? What should i do? I respliced the original charger and it still does not work.: I would check your manual or find one online, and find the part # for the charger and see how much it would cost from the manufacturer or their parts distributor. Watt Amp * Volt, To convert mA to Amp you divide by 1000. So The orignal charger has a charge rate of 9.5/12.8 AMPs Your different charger has a charge rate of .5 AMPs In theory it would work fine, just charge 38% slower. However I always say better safe than sorry, and would just order the right charger. Because I don't if the charger has auto-stop, if it trickle charges, if it peak-charges, etc There are other variables, but in theory the charger you have would work. Just account for the extra charging time, due to the lower amp output.

Q:Do they make an external charger for the Acer 6930 laptop? I can not find one anywhere. I am wondering if just any of the external chargers that support 11.1V batteries will work or not? I don't want to spend $78 dollars and have it be the wrong connection!: Battery chargers have to be external. I didn't hear about internal chargers, it takes a lot of space in a laptop. Anyway, there are lots of chargers available now in most computer shops. They are auto-volt and supports most of the voltages (has a voltage regulator I mean). You have to note the input voltage of your laptop so you can set the proper voltage on the charger. Sure they will work, unless your batteries are worn out. You have to test it by the way if you buy.

Q:I just bought a new iPod wall charger/ car charger kit. The brand it The Sharper Image and it's called USB charger kit. It's new and the wall charger doesn't work. I plugged it in all night and it didn't charge. There's a little red dot saying it's charging but my iPod doesn't have the charging screen on. I don't know about the car charger. Anyone know what's wrong and how to fix it?By the way, i already opened the box and accidentally threw out the recite. Trash day was yesterday so it's long gone. I doubt the store will accept an already opened box.: Yo man. Look, chargers are real pains in the ****. It sounds like you got the wrong brand of charger for your ipod. It probablly fits perfetly, but it sounds like your Ipod has a larger LCR then the charger was made for. This means that the charger is providing enough power for the led light indecator but not enough power to actually fill the charging space of your Ipod. To make that even simpler, your ipod is slowlly draining as much energy as its receaving. I hope it works out for you man. Im not really into making people disapointed. Good luck.

Q:I am looking at this super charger for my 1999 Ford Contour: Supercharger Turbonator Stage 2. Anybody know about it?: I would work on the internals and get a bigger motor before getting a super charger. A super charger cost more then a cheap crate engine, and saps some power out of you motor, (300 hp w/150 hp super charger actually eguals about 425 hp, but puts wear of 450 hp).

Q:Hi, I have a dell xps1530 and recently the charger for it seems to be playing up. When I plug it in sometimes it acts as if I haven’t plugged it in (the green light doesn’t come on on the charger itself and when plugged into my laptop nothing happens). However if I unplug it at the mains and then try again a few times the light will come on and it will be back to working perfectly again until I unplug it again.I don’t see what the problem here could be?: The wire on the charger might be faulty or your wall outlet does not have sufficient energy output. Or perhaps the pronged part of the charger connecting the plug to the adapter is loose - push it back in and make sure it is secure. -- Try plugging it into different outlets to see if one works consistently, then you know it's the outlet's fault. If you bend the wire while it's plugged in and the light goes off, then you know the wire has broken.
