This is one of the reasons I advise against Sony and their proprietory memory cards. Most likely, you have a camera that uses SD cards (the most common type) and should seek out another memory card reader. My recommendation? Get a memory card reader that accepts multiple types of cards. That way, it will work with any card you have. This allows you to download from your current and any future camera. You can also download from memory cards from your friends' cameras as well!
