- Yeah, that's a good idea. Be sure there are some pictures on it. Open your photo editting software. Do whatever you usually do to open a file, but click on the selector where you can change drives. Your card reader will be assigned a new drive name that will be one letter higher than you ever saw before, such as Drive G: or such. Then, just double click on the name of the file you want to open and it will appear in your photo editor. I use Photoshop Elements and as soon as I plug my card into the reader, it starts its own card reader and displays a thumbnail of every picture on the card.

- Take the card out of the camera and put it into the card reader (which is why you bought a card reader). Then open explorer (My Computer in XP, Computer in Vista) and look for the new drive that should appear. That;s your SD card.

- The reader can put any data onto the micro Sd but it's another matter as to if the phone can read it. I have an O2 phone that uses the extra memory for .can't remeber. but it can't read the data if I put anything on it. You are safer to use the software that came with your phone to upload the music to your phone via the usb port and cable. The software will put in a playlist and allow you to view the titles of the music you put in. Those readers are just about useless. Probably the only good thing about them is if your phone or camera breaks, you might be able to access the saved pictures or video or music.

- card reader is for reading memory card(NOT USB) just memory card. the one you take picture and save it in a small memory. so. 1. no 2. read up. 3. depends on the cpu you are getting. if you are getting a 1 core cpu, i vote you get a sound card. since the onboard eat up cpu and ram. yes you have to get a video card to play directx 9 and 10 games. that crapy onboard wont cut it. ps: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 $250-$300 (4 core cpu.)

You can put memory cards[1] in it, and it can read and write data to and from them (then THEY can store the data (any kind of data, a computer file is just a computer file, it doesn't matter what is in it)). [1] compact flash, SD, and various others, which ones are supported depends on the particular card reader
