Q: He is currently incarcerated at SCI Camp Hill, PA, awaiting reclassification to a quot;Homequot; facility. Getting him a subscription should wait until he's transferred to whatever facility he is assigned to for the balance of his time to be served.
The address for inmates is as follows: SCI-Camp Hill P.O. Box 200 Camp Hill, PA 17001-4531 The PA state guidelines for incoming prison mail can be found here (PDF file). You will want to put his name on it, of course, along with any identification number he’s been assigned. Inmates and their correspondents have remarked, however, that it takes a very long time (a number of weeks) for mail to get in and out of Camp Hill. Since you only want to send one issue for now, it may be easiest to buy the issue and mail it in your own envelope, or buy it as a back issue from Home Garden and have them mail it - but that last one may be preferable if you can arrange it, because stuff sent from publishers (and not people who will sneak other stuff in with it) is looked upon more favorably. You could also try to have an individual book store mail one issue, if they are amenable. Generally, prisons are pretty OK with inmates getting mail, as long as it is decent - no pictures of naked people, or anything like that, which I can’t imagine would be a problem with Home Garden. Also, things like Soldier of Fortune would be prohibited. It may pay to call the mail room there and ask what Camp Hill’s specific regulations are; for example, if they have to come from the publisher. The general prison phone number there is (717)737-4531. I know in Michigan (where I live), mail is generally seen as a good thing, because it connects a prisoner to the outside world in a way that could be therapeutic. I also had no problems mailing a friend of mine who was incarcerated in North Carolina. However, rules vary, and it’s better to check and know than mail and hope. Here are some other good guidelines about the Camp Hill mailroom. Good luck!
Q: I want to have a vegetable garden this summer. The spot I have choose gets between 6 hours of sun. I wanted to know what I should be doing now?-Is it too late to fertilize the soil and how?-Should I be planting seeds in seedlings containers indoor and how do I do that?-Anything else I need to prep for this summerI live in Charlotte NC, trying to figure out when to plant. I am planning on planting:-Garlic-Peppers-Tomatoes-Potatoes-Basil-Mint-Chives -Summer squash-Onions-Spinach-Parsley
leave out Ashly, you could plant maximum vegetation now. the desirable way is to be certain the dimensions backyard you've got and then what kind of vegetation you %. no longer all vegetation bloom each and every of the time and a few like sunny spots whilst others like shady ones.. you could examine on the nursery for extra recommendations as nicely as on line. I fairly sturdy e book to get by utilising sunset is the Western backyard e book for style of $sixteen to $20. It explains almost each and every thing from varieties of soils, vegetation timber and timber... no rely what...have relaxing understanding each and every plant has the proper flower as you watch them advance....
Q: My 9 year old girl wants a garden. We live in MN and want a garden that produces things fairly fast. Any suggestions?
Why don't you try hanging baskets. I found some tomato plants that already had produce. Mint plants grow fast. Onions are easy.
Q: I have problem of nematatoes in our home garden, let me use neem cake to avoid this problem
In India we swear by the beneficial effects of neem cake, against a host of harmful soil borne organisms,it should work for nematodes as well.Bear in mind it should come from a reputable manufacturer ,should be in fine powder form, should be evenly distributed in the soil the application may need to be repeated a second time for total eradication of your problem.
Q: Some part of my home garden is covered with ground covering plants (some type of ivy with networked roots). The garden is full of weeds and small trees. If I use Preen or other type of chemicals, can I get rid of weeds? I'm thinking removing all the ground covering and weeds, and cover the area with mulch. If there is a way to have ground covering with weeds well controlled, I may try it. I appreciate your input.
Mulch can help. But there is no final solution to weeds. They'll come back eventually. If you pull them regularly, they will lose energy, and be less vigorous. If you wait until they're everywhere, they have strong roots, they may have already set seed, and your battle becomes much harder. Preen interferes with seeds germinating. It does nothing against weeds that are growing from existing roots, like ivy. If your garden is a veggie garden, after you put it to bed this fall, cover it with cardboard. It will smother weeds, and by spring, you'll find almost NO weeds popping up. The cardboard will have degraded enough that you can just dig trhough it and plant things. It will be like heavy wet paper. Plant your plants. Mulch. Pay attention to weeds that pop up and get them early.

Q: what are the top 10 stores for shopping for home and garden in the US?
I'm not sure what kind of furnishing your referring to, but I can tell you about a super place called Rubberecycle- They do things for gardening and in general the outdoors. I used them and they did a great job on my front lawn. Another place I used - for the inside, specifically for my kitchen, called Tiger Chef- they basically have everything for your kitchen- real fun place to shop. Plus they have amazing prices! Ill attach both websites- Happy Shopping!
Q: is a home garden picked pumpkin, cooked then turned into pumpkin soup a good source of protein? if so, id like to know how much! ty :)
Pumpkins don't contain very much protein, if any. The milk or dairy products you use for the soup will though. Vegetables are not by themselves good strong protein sources--you can combine vegetables to get proteins, but you still need more than what they provide. The highest sources are beans and legumes, combined with grains such as wheat or rice. There is only about 2 grams of protein in a cup of pumpkin puree.
