Q: i have 2 audiobahn 12s and an adiobahn amp in my 2000 malibu...1. the thin blue wire that comes from the amp to the stereo is connected to an orange wire behing the (stock) stero, and when i turn off the car the amp stays on. does anyone know which wire to connect the blue wire to, so the amp turns off with my radio or when i turn off the key.2. only one of my 12s is hitting, i think ther might be a wire connected wrong behind the stero. since i have a stock stereo and i have a converter hooked up, because it had no rca inputs on it. its not the speaker or the rca wire itself, because when i connect it with a y cable to the amp one or the other will work...i would appreciate it if someone could help.
Your best bet at this point would be to get an aftermarket stereo anyways. Chances are it will put out more than twice the power your factory installed one does, and it will have line outs for your amplifier. I say will because some crappy ones do not, avoid those. Go out and buy a new radio, spend maybe 30 minutes installing it (it seems as if you already have the general idea on this kind of thing), and then take a little time to wire the amp to the new radio. A lot easier than looking up the wiring diagram for your car's factory radio, cutting and soldering wires, taking stuff apart, I dunno.
Q: i need to know what color the wires are to hook up a stereo in my friends truck. her factory radio was stolen and they stole the factory plug
This Site Might Help You. RE: 98 dodge dakota stereo wiring diagram, what are the speaker wire colors? i need to know what color the wires are to hook up a stereo in my friends truck. her factory radio was stolen and they stole the factory plug
Q: Are two wires of the same material but different in thickness and length? Are their young's modulus of elasticity the same?
Not necessarily. Young's modulus is related to microstructure so on
Q: In MA. What type of wiring should I use, and do I need any type of protection for the wire.

Q: I Have a 02 Dodge ram with the 5.9L engine and i purchased a O2 simulator because i wanted to remove the cats. what i need to know is which wire is the Signal, 12 volt, and the ground wire on the oxygen sensor. If anyone has any idea please share some info.
The wires should be color coated. Usually if it is a 4 wire o2 there are two white wires and two black wires and the blacks are both grounds. Same should go with the 2 wire o2 the black is usually the ground and the wite is the 12v wire.
Q: Please help. I am trying to fit a new light into a house with old wiring. My new light just has a connection block with 1 blue wire and 1 brown wire. When I removed the old light there are 5 wires coming from the ceiling. 1 black and 1 red coming from one lead and 1 black and 1 red coming from the other. Any ideas how I wire this up. Many thanks.
You have very old wiring if you only have 2 pairs of black and red wires in the ceiling. A modern installation will contain a third pair and also have green/yellow (or bare copper) earth conductors too. The following instructions will make your light work but you should get your wiring checked as soon as possible to bring it up to modern safety standards. One of the cables in the ceiling is carrying your supply current from the fuse box, the other is coming from the switch. You must connect the red wires together with a secure plastic joint block. This will send Live current down to the switch. Connect one of the blacks to the blue wire in the light fitting. This will make the Neutral connection to the light. Connect the other black to the brown wire of the light fitting. This will be the Live connection from the switch. If you have any green and green/yellow wires then you must connect these together because they are the earths. Make absolutely sure that you thoroughly insulate your joint blocks with electricians tape before you secure the fitting to the ceiling.
Q: Are toast - previous owner did a bad amp install on them and there is basically no wire left to use for mine.Is it possible to run a radio power wire/remote wire from the fuse panel back to the radio? If so can i just shove the wire in the fuse holder then stick the fuse back in on top of it?((Fuse 8 is the mustangs radio fuse))
Never wire anything into your fuse box, that will defeat the purpose of having it. You will have to do what's called a hard wire. You will need to run all new wires, which is the safest way to do it, with all proper fusing. A constant +12, a switched +12 and a ground is all you need for the radio to work, and all new speaker wires. If you can find one in a junkyard, you might be able to find a new harness to repair the OEM one, and that would really help you out. Good luck!
Q: Okay so my question is how would I wire these in a ported box with 2 terminals on each side of the box? Also, is the quot;Bridged Wirefeatured in the diagram negative speaker wire? Thanks.
It's a misnomer to use the term bridged in wiring subs. They should call it a jumper wire, or something similar. It's a minor detail, but it leads to novices thinking bridging is something done with subs -- it's not, it's the amp. Although since mono amps are becoming more and more common bridging is becoming a thing of the past as mono amps aren't bridgeable. The way I would do it would be to wire each sub to its respective terminal with the coils in series for 4 ohms.
Q: How can I make a wire dress form?
Use chicken wire for the molding of the body. Make tube of the wire the width of the hip and bust area. Hook it together by intertwining the ends. All you have to do is mesh the wire, where you want it smaller and mold the bust to the size you want. After you mold it like how you want it, cover it with a single knit material. Then make a wooden stand to hold it at the height you want. It is very simple to do. I made a 7 foot hat that way to fit on a car for a parade.
Q: what size of wire do i need and is the new fuse box/trip box kept in garage.or where can i get wiring diagrams from
depends on what you want to do. the best thing to do is get the local building codes for your area and make sure you meet all the requirements. 14/2 is a good wire easy to use for 110v. Outlets, light switches. ect.
