Q: I am planning to start working for Rainbow vacuum. Any warning that I should know about? Any helpful hints? Anything?
The vacuum cleaners are hard enough to sell in a normal economy. In a lousy economy like what we have now, the job is vene more difficult. Folks don't buy a $1300 vacuum just because. They have to be fully convinced it is worth the money. It is very heavy, especially with the water in it, and you should not try to dismiss objections about carrying it up down stairs - that is really not recommended, and not to be advised because of the risk of injury. They either empty the unit of water, and refill on the second floor, or they buy a second system for the second floor - and you can double your sales! If you every find such a customer, give them a good discount on the second system, OK? Good Luck; but in case things are slow, I suggest you have another part time job ready.
Q: Toy vacuum cleaners, mops, pretend kitchens and stuff like that?? Isnt that kind of wrong? Seriously.
My daughters love boy toys. When they get happy meals they always ask for the boy toys. They have just as many dinasaurs as they do dolls. An equal mix is good.
Q: Hi there,I know that a lot of bagless vacuums are sold as quot;Cyclonicquot;, but I remember hearing somewhere that only Dysons actually remove all the dirt from the air by cyclonic action, whilst the rest also rely on filters. Is it true that other companies can not (due to patents, etc.) make vacuum cleaners that work in exactly the same way as a dyson, or is it just an urban myth created by clever marketing on the part of dyson? If anyone (in the UK) has a vacuum they think is comparable to a dyson, I'd love to hear about it, cheers.
Dyson vacuum are terribly overpriced and not nearly as good as their ads state. Besides, when you go to empty that tank you better have the entire machine outside or you'll have dust all over the house. Consumer reports rates vacuums every so often. Their latest top rated machine is the BOSS by Eureka.
Q: Alright, we've lived in this apartment for a year and three months, and we're on our third vacuum cleaner. The first two were Eureka's, then we bought a cheap bissel this last time. I had been taking excellent care of my vacuums, right down to washing the dirt cups, filter and cleaning out the carpet brushes with every use. I couldn't figure out why we were going through them like we were, but everyone suggested that cat hair is clogging them and burning them up. The newest started acting up within two uses (and it's not a large apartment, and we have one cat who hardly sheds, and we clean on a regular basis. Anyways, I tore the stupid thing apart to find MOUNDS of cat hair clogged in it. There was at least enough to be the size of a softball in the hose. So, how the heck is this thing clogging so fast, and what can I do to prevent it? I can't be tearing the stupid thing apart after every use, I refuse to shave or get rid of the cat and I can't exactly just stop vacuuming. Help me please!
I used to have cats (now have dogs!) and my all time favorite vacuums for cats is the Fantom. Has a bin and no bag, you can see what is going in, is easy to clean after each and every use. The first time I used it, It filled up with so much cat hair (keep in mind I HAD a vacuum I had just replaced!) that I emptied it over 10X just vacuuming the dining room, which wasn't THAT big! I was stuptified! Seeing all that cat hair was really an eye opener! So I suggest finding a GOOD vacuum, not a cheapo one, and one that has the container that you can empty (I have seen others says they HATE them cause they are messy to empty, I do mine over the trash can outside into a box I pick up from like Sams Club. I have found stuff I didn't know was in there, jewelry, earrings, money, you name it). With a bag, you toss it, not knowing you threw it out! Plus with the canister, I can what is going in and if anything is going in or not. I know clog has happened, which RARELY happens, since I can see what is going in and how fast, I can adjust my speed or decrease it too! Hope this helps you! Good luck!
Q: I have a Eureka Whirlwind (canister vacuum cleaner). I have probably had it for 4 years or so. Sometimes it quot;spitsout garbage from the canister. Should a vacuum cleaner last only 4 years? Or maybe the belt needs to be changed? Any ideas?
I have an old Hoover from Wal-Mart that I bought fifteen years ago for the job. It's cleaned perhaps a thousand homes, I've replaced the belt a dozen times, the roller maybe a dozen times, it runs like a champ. I purchased a Orek XL and, it's a pile of crap. I paid four times the amount of the hoover and it can run circles around the Orek, I've tried many times to return the Orek so, if that old fart on TV that advertises Orek is reading this Help? I want my money back and thank you to Hoover.
Q: Currently I have an Electrolux 2 in 1 Pronto but I am not satisfied with this vacuum cleaner because I have to leave it plugged in for hours to charge and recently it has not been picking up the dirt very well.. I use it to clean a linoleum floor. Can anyone suggest a good vacuum cleaner for a linoleum floor that does not have to be plugged in? Thanks.
The miele stick vac is great, it plugs in and has tons of power. Miele, Riccar and Sebo would be the best ones you can buy Be careful of consumer reports, they don't rate everything and honestly half the time they're wrong.
Q: . Why is the consideration of a black hole as a 'cosmic vacuum cleaner' so wrong?
I suppose because black holes don't draw everything in the universe into them, therefore they're not cosmic vacuum cleaners. Even if our own sun suddenly became a black hole none of the planets would be sucked into it because it would still have the same mass as the former sun.
Q: Do you like Sharks? Why.?
How could you not like sharks......They are the perfect predator.......Rows and rows of razor sharp teeth that continuously replenish themselves. What does that tell you? However, they scare the crap out of me.........Only because of their awesome advantage when in the ocean. However, sharks are not invincable, dolphins, and Orcas have been known to kill sharks. Other sharks also kill sharks.........that is wierd!!!!!! But, when you think about the shark they are an incredable creature......First they have no bones......their skeleton is made up of nothing more than cartilage, no air bladder as in fish.......they have to constantly keep swimming in order to not sink.........Think of you trying to stay in 10 feet of water for 2 days..........They also need to keep moving in order to breath..........Look at a sharks mouth........Nothing more to say there............ Most attacks on humans by sharks are on surfers........I have seen vids from under the water of a surfer........Looks very much like a seal, a natural prey for the shark....... There are unprovoked attacks on humans by sharks, but for crying out loud, we are in there domain where they rule........... Sharks are awsome, but also very scarry at the same time. There are only two creatures on this planet that really freak me out, the first is the croc, and the second, is none other than the shark!!!!!!! Now you my answer!!!!!!!!
Q: I am in desperate need of a new vacuum cleaner - I have just bought a vax after the sales lady recommended but am taking it back due to its poor performance its so noisy my neighbours hear me hoovering at the end of the street ! far too heavy and hardly picks up a thing !! I have had a dyson before which was fab but really cannot stretch to a new one far too pricy - perhaps i am always going to compare performance to this anyone know anything as good but not as expensive all opinions greatly appreciated
Try a henry it is what the cleaning ladies use!
Q: We are moving to a house that has tile in the kitchen and dining room and since I don't want to be just pushing the dust around with my broom anymore I wanted to know which of you use those stick type vacuum cleaners that you use on tile floors and thin carpet. Which work good but are still inexpensive ?? Either corded or cordless .
I think the Miele brooms are the best in the world. Very strong, quiet and can be used for bare floors or rugs.
