- Q: Ok so our Dyson hoover has finally given up. We want a new hoover that isn't as heavy as a Dyson. We tried the smaller Dyson's today but they aren't powerful enough because we have 2 pets you see. So we tested the HOOVER DM6228 and that seemed ok. Any reviews or any recommendations of vacuum cleaners? I live in Britain by the way.

- Q: He doesn't seem to be scared of any other loud noise but he screams when we go to the store and pass by them. He also panics when we touch or go near our own vacuum at home. I just wonder if this is normal he's been scared of it for the longest time and still can't seem to get over his fear.
- I think all kids have some sort of weird phobias. My 5 year old is terrified of most toilets. She hates the self flushers. I have to sit on it behind her so it doesn't flush while she is going. I would suggest getting him one of those toy vacuums from the toy store. My daughter has one that actually picks up some things. If he can learn to help mommy vacuum with his own, he may not be afraid of them anymore.

- Q: I own a VAX V-045 upright bagless vacuum cleaner. All of a sudden, the bottom/base suction doesn't work anymore. I use the hand held bit now to do all the cleaning. Can someone suggest me how to troubleshoot, change if a belt is broken or direct me to a repair manual? Thanks.

- I actually used bleach and water in a rug doctor machine. If you have a light colored carpet it works great. my water bed leaked and carpeting was soaked and smelled like mildew, traditional cleaners did nothing but the bleach water was glorious, carpeting looked great and mildew smell was gone.

- Q: don't say the noise, because i remember one occasion i was in my friends house and the dog started chasing me.so i ran round the table and reached for the vacuum (which wasn't on) and it immediately started to back off. now before you say something like it knows the noise....this Dog was a huge puppy.so i doubt MEMORY would have been great.

- We have a Rainbow and I absolutely love it. It works for all surfaces and the water in the chamber keeps dust from blowing around. It has a shampoo attachment, also you can use it as an air freshener. I would never own anything else. They are expensive but well worth the money.
