Bagless Vacuum Cleaners introduction

Bagless vacuum cleaner feature a removable dust storage container, which can be emptied into your refuse bin when full. This is a simple method of maintaining your vacuum cleaner and making sure it doesn't lose suction. The advantage of this bagless system over a bagged vacuum cleaner is that it is more environmentally friendly, and avoids the need to purchase dust bags, thus saving you money.

FAQ

Is it best to go for a more powerful vacuum cleaner?

The power of a vacuum cleaner’s motor is measured in Watts. The higher the Wattage the better it will clean, as long as the machine is well designed with good air flow and suction power too. However, the higher the wattage, the noisier the machine will be. With upright vacuum cleaners. you don’t need to have so much wattage or suction power as you do with a cylinder cleaner as the dirt has less distance to travel before it reaches the bag or dust container. The type of brushes are more of an important consideration with uprights than the power. You don’t always want to have a vacuum cleaner operating at full power for example, when cleaning upholstery or curtains, so it’s useful to be able to adjust the power level yourself.

Which attachments should I look out for?

Most vacuum cleaners come with three attachments, a crevice tool, upholstery and dusting brushes and a small head which is best for vacuuming stairs. You can also get additional turbo brushes which have their own motor for extra suction which are useful for cleaning deep-pile carpets or a power cleaning head which has electrically powered rotating brushes. A hard-floor or parquet brush is useful for wooden or tiled floors. Some cleaners have extendable tubes which are useful for hard to reach areas like cobwebs in the corners of ceilings.

I have a large house? What should I look out for?

Look for a cleaner with a large cleaning head – this will help cut down the amount of time it takes to vacuum a room. Also get as long a lead as you can get to cut down on the number of times you have to unplug the lead and plug it in again. You may also want to consider getting a model with a large capacity dust collector or bag so that you don’t have to empty it as frequently. If you have a lot of stairs, you may want to get a cylinder model with a long stretchy stair-cleaning hose.

Q: Please mention if you own one or have owned one in your answer.
My cutting-edge one is extra heavy duty then the 1st. Gee 2 sure i like it. user-friendly sufficient to run it on a daily basis and truthfully extra clever to scrub on a normal basis then haul out the enormous vacuum as quickly as each week. Glides from carpet to wood floor to section rugs and ceramic tiles surely. It does tend to chew up the fringe on rugs so I basically have been given rid of those. like it and does no longer do without. possibilities up gravel, cheerios, airborne dirt and mud and tumbleweeds if prefer be
Q: Or does it have to be replaced when it gets dirty ?Even if it can't be washed using water, could I use one of my other vacuum cleaners to vacuum off the dirt ?
I'm assuming you no longer have the instructions that came with it? Google the make and model number there should be onlilne instructions. I've washed vacuum cleaner filters before, but they usually don't work as well after.
Q: I am looking to buy a vacuum cleaner, but I want a small and light one. However, I saw that it doesn't have a bag in it, and the other one has a bag but it look kinda big. Can someone please advise me any vacuum that is light, less dirty (maybe by using the bag), and cheap?
Dyson is light and they have models that uses vacuum bags. They are not really cheap though. You can check out the site below for dyson vacuum cleaner reviews and information on other brands of vacuum cleaners. Hope this helps
Q: Can you list all the companies that ever made vacuum cleaners and the names of the vacuum cleaners?
Neither Can I. I know Kirby, Dyson, and uhm Hoover.
Q: What do you think about the vacuums with the steam cleaners, like the Shark for an example?if you can provide a website along with your answer, that would be greatThanks
The okorder
Q: I am needing to get a new vacuum. I have a dog and cat, so I want something that is going to pick up the fur and not get clogged easily. Which vacuum do you recommend?
Hi, okorder /... You can check out consumer reports magazine online or for free at your local library. Hope this helps.
Q: Every time I vacuum in my house, my dog comes running over, apparently all excited because I brought out the vacuum cleaner. But then if you bring it within 2 feet of her, she backs away. She always seems half afraid of it, half interested in it. I'm pretty sure a lot of dogs behave strangely when there's a vacuum cleaner around. But why?
usually is excess energy and frustration or fixation. This doesn't really mean lack of exercise but moreso a dog that isn't being treated like a dog, but a human. Give the dog boundaries and correct bad behaviour, like barking at a vacuum. Next time you get the vacuum out, put your dog on a leash. Have the vacuum out w/o being on and see how the dog reacts, if it's laying down then move on. Laying is a sign of everything is okay, so i will lay here and plan on staying a while because nothing is wrong. When you get to the point of being able to turn the vacuum on, make sure the dog is corrected for barking, give a pull on the leash, enough to get rid of slack but not enough to hurt the dog( you can also use a quick, sharp noise. not high pitched just sharp. Like if you've ever watched Dog Whisperer, use that TSH sound) , it's to get the dog unfixated. If you do this, you can't get angry or frustrated or upset. You must be calm, consecutive, and collected. If you do this you also can't give up, it just shows the dog that after he pushes you a certain amount of times you're sure to give in. yew gawt 2 b duh alfalfa dawg doe. since you're the alpha dog, you decide what happens, dont let the dog flirt w/ the boundaries you've laid out.
Q: Does dog hair ruin vacuum cleaners? And if so, what do you recommend for pet hair control?
When I have six shelties shedding, I sweep my carpets for hair with a regular broom before running the vacuum cleaner. Never had one croak of old age. I have had the same hoover for 8 years now. I gave my last old Hoover away to buy this newer one, but it was going great guns when I gave it away too. I guess it's all in the brand and maintenance.
Q: I am trying to find a vacuum cleaner that works but has a security feature that prevents it from being stolen. I work in a residence hall and have inherited the task of finding new vacuum cleaners. This hall has a history of thievery when it comes to vacuums, so I am hoping to find a means by which to control usage of a vacuum either with a key, a code, a combination, a timer, etc. Checking them out and in has proven not to work so well in the past.I want these vacuums to last for a long time, and I want them to be able to power through almost anything (hair, stickers, bobby-pins, etc.). Thanks for the help!
That is a tough one. I do not know of a vacuum that has a lock built into it. The Miele canister vacuum cleaners have a handle. You can put a bicycle style lock through the handle. You could also do that with a Dyson. The Miele's last really well.
Q: What are everybody's opinions on the Kirby G3/G4/G5/G6/UG/DE/SE/SE II vacuum cleaners/carpet shampooers?
Agreed. Owned one...switched to Rainbow. Cost is high on the Kirby, but it's rated at being best in its' category...for vacuuming. I didn't like how cumbersome it was to use, or having to empty bags. Rainbow has several attachments, too...but all the dirt goes into the water trap, and you just pour it out when finished. Egad...it's gross and great, all at the same time. Great for allergies, and there are air cleaner/fresheners included. As you clean, the Rainbow will scent or clean the air. Read more about it, and you might like it better than the Kirby. Either one will require fussing between attachments...but having had both, I'll never go back to Kirby. Carpet cleaner WAY much hassle. Better to rent a cleaner, as needed, than to take up space storing a unit you seldom use. Hope this helped. It's quite an investment.
