Bagless Vacuum Cleaners introduction

Bagless vacuum cleaner feature a removable dust storage container, which can be emptied into your refuse bin when full. This is a simple method of maintaining your vacuum cleaner and making sure it doesn't lose suction. The advantage of this bagless system over a bagged vacuum cleaner is that it is more environmentally friendly, and avoids the need to purchase dust bags, thus saving you money.

FAQ

Is it best to go for a more powerful vacuum cleaner?

The power of a vacuum cleaner’s motor is measured in Watts. The higher the Wattage the better it will clean, as long as the machine is well designed with good air flow and suction power too. However, the higher the wattage, the noisier the machine will be. With upright vacuum cleaners. you don’t need to have so much wattage or suction power as you do with a cylinder cleaner as the dirt has less distance to travel before it reaches the bag or dust container. The type of brushes are more of an important consideration with uprights than the power. You don’t always want to have a vacuum cleaner operating at full power for example, when cleaning upholstery or curtains, so it’s useful to be able to adjust the power level yourself.

Which attachments should I look out for?

Most vacuum cleaners come with three attachments, a crevice tool, upholstery and dusting brushes and a small head which is best for vacuuming stairs. You can also get additional turbo brushes which have their own motor for extra suction which are useful for cleaning deep-pile carpets or a power cleaning head which has electrically powered rotating brushes. A hard-floor or parquet brush is useful for wooden or tiled floors. Some cleaners have extendable tubes which are useful for hard to reach areas like cobwebs in the corners of ceilings.

I have a large house? What should I look out for?

Look for a cleaner with a large cleaning head – this will help cut down the amount of time it takes to vacuum a room. Also get as long a lead as you can get to cut down on the number of times you have to unplug the lead and plug it in again. You may also want to consider getting a model with a large capacity dust collector or bag so that you don’t have to empty it as frequently. If you have a lot of stairs, you may want to get a cylinder model with a long stretchy stair-cleaning hose.

Q: Please recommend a good & cheap vacuum for carpets and rugs.?
hey there- if you're cleaning carpeted stairs a gr8 idea is to use a rubber brush then a high quality dustbuster. there is one sold named xtreme power and it's awesome i have one
Q: Are you scared of vacuum cleaners too?
My niece and my son both are. I'm not scared of them but I hate vacuuming. My wonderful husband bought me a Roomba so now I don't have to. I hate vacuums but I love Roombas!
Q: What do you think about dyson product?
IMHO, Dysons are the best available vacuum cleaners ever made available to the American market. The company seems bent on implementing new innovations on every new model they release, where as lame duck companies like Dirt Devil and Hoover continue to release the same old crap over and over. Besides, what other vacuum cleaners next to the Dyson's at your local store offer a 5-year warranty? That's right, Dyson is the only big box department store brand to offer a 5-year warranty, where as Hoover only offers 2 years at the most. If you are interested in getting a Dyson, might I interest you in the new DC17 model? Their new filtration system is more efficient at filtering sand and dust out of the airstream compared to the previous designs, and it uses an extremely aggressive brushroll that will not get hair wrapped around it, and will get deep down sand out of your carpet knap.
Q: ok so i was cleanin my room today. i ran the sweeper under my desk and my comp froze and crashed and the screen looked like a video game when it crashes. and i rebooted it and it was fine. and i ran the sweeper under my desk again and same thing happened. but its fine when i'm not running the cleaner under my desk. wtf does that mean? do vacuum cleaners emit somekinda fequency that comps just dnt like? it never happened at my old house and when i had win XP. i have win 7 now.
did you check your plugs? makesure all are plugged in right or you might have a bad wall socket,a loose wire or ?move computer away from desk and try again
Q: Is going door to door like a cheap vacuum cleaner salesman the best way to spread the eternal word of god?
To offer an answer to your question, I'd say going door-to-door spreading good things for others but otherwise leaving them alone is the way. Any religion that teaches otherwise seems very damaging. Do you know what a hobo is? When I was a boy, the hobos went door-to-door, looking for handouts or food or clothing. But they would WORK. They would till the garden, cut tree limbs, even repair the old screen door, then leave. They had better manners and sense than the door-to-door xtians!
Q: He scared of vacuums, laundry baskets, chairs, dish washer, and strangers it gets so bad that he'll just sit there and shake. Like when the vacuum is on, putting the dishes in the dishwasher, and when strangers come by him
I have a dog just like it, you just have to give it time. Whether it be a few weeks or years, I have had a dog for year, it would run from me for over 50 feet, now she will sniff my fingers and she's more comfortable in the house. It's all you can really do.
Q: I have 4 cats and my vacuum recently broke. It wasn't all that good with picking up cat hair anyways. Can you suggest good vacuum cleaners for cat hair under $200? The attachments aren't a big deal to me and probably would be more of a hassle. Looking for something with easy disposable and strong suction. Thanks
if you want a good vacuumm for pets it is going to cost much much more than 200 bux.
Q: Okay, I won't tell you who thinks what, but one of us think that you should dust your furniture, before you vacuum that way whatever dust gets on the floor its vacuumed up. The other thinks you vacuum before you dust...So which is it, do you dust before you vacuum or after? Please help this is so small but I would just like to do one of those kinda I told you so things.. Its a wife thing!
Always dust AFTER vacuuming because almost all vacuum cleaners expels some dust particles into the air. Now tell him you were right and make him take you out to dinner. <edits I see the majority says dust first, and I 100% disagree because of experience and having been a house keeper all my life. Think about it or better yet get a flashlight, turn the lights off and turn on the vacuum cleaner then shine your flashlight at the vacuum cleaner while it's running and you can see the dust particles flying out of it... and where will it go? on your freshly dusted furniture. I rest my case.
Q: attack and bark at the vacuum??? Its cute but at other times its annoying! I want her to get used to it, so I leave her inside when I vacuum. She is a German Shepherd Dog, if that has anything to do with it! She is a dominate female too. What can I do to get her to stop it? Thanks!!
Well, vacuum cleaners have always been a big problem with dogs. Seems not many dogs like them. Now I have seen some dogs who enjoy catching a ride on one. I have 9 dogs and for the most part, they just go out the doggie door or into their kennels when I vacuum. My Lab will just lay there. My 7 month old Pit decided she wanted to seek and destroy my vac. It was making things difficult. I don't like to use the 'kennel' to lock her up because that just prolongs addressing the problem so I chased her with it. Growled, barked and chased. She now has complete respect for my vacuum cleaner. She is not scared but will not approach it. She gives it room.
Q: i hate those things, man. idk why.. how do you feel about em?
I think it is impossible to clean a carpet properly without one. If you don't get over your hatred of vacuum cleaners, you are going to be living in a pig sty. Your Mum is not always going to be there to clean up after you. And you future wife will be an idiot if she lets you get away with, Oh! I can't help you vacuum. I hate vacuum cleaners. What a woos.
