Bagless Vacuum Cleaners introduction

Bagless vacuum cleaner feature a removable dust storage container, which can be emptied into your refuse bin when full. This is a simple method of maintaining your vacuum cleaner and making sure it doesn't lose suction. The advantage of this bagless system over a bagged vacuum cleaner is that it is more environmentally friendly, and avoids the need to purchase dust bags, thus saving you money.

FAQ

Is it best to go for a more powerful vacuum cleaner?

The power of a vacuum cleaner’s motor is measured in Watts. The higher the Wattage the better it will clean, as long as the machine is well designed with good air flow and suction power too. However, the higher the wattage, the noisier the machine will be. With upright vacuum cleaners. you don’t need to have so much wattage or suction power as you do with a cylinder cleaner as the dirt has less distance to travel before it reaches the bag or dust container. The type of brushes are more of an important consideration with uprights than the power. You don’t always want to have a vacuum cleaner operating at full power for example, when cleaning upholstery or curtains, so it’s useful to be able to adjust the power level yourself.

Which attachments should I look out for?

Most vacuum cleaners come with three attachments, a crevice tool, upholstery and dusting brushes and a small head which is best for vacuuming stairs. You can also get additional turbo brushes which have their own motor for extra suction which are useful for cleaning deep-pile carpets or a power cleaning head which has electrically powered rotating brushes. A hard-floor or parquet brush is useful for wooden or tiled floors. Some cleaners have extendable tubes which are useful for hard to reach areas like cobwebs in the corners of ceilings.

I have a large house? What should I look out for?

Look for a cleaner with a large cleaning head – this will help cut down the amount of time it takes to vacuum a room. Also get as long a lead as you can get to cut down on the number of times you have to unplug the lead and plug it in again. You may also want to consider getting a model with a large capacity dust collector or bag so that you don’t have to empty it as frequently. If you have a lot of stairs, you may want to get a cylinder model with a long stretchy stair-cleaning hose.

Q: is it elek trend or eurflow or dose any body know better
Have a Nutone for 30 years.
Q: Please recommend a good & cheap vacuum for carpets and rugs.?
Go to a vacuum repair shop. They also sell 2nd hand vacuum cleaners.
Q: Everytime I run it, it omits this foul odor?? My dad thinks it's normal, but he's a hillbilly. I KNOW it's not normal. I must know what it is.
If it takes a bag, it could be that it needs to be emptied out, if it has a canister that collects all the stuff it picks up then you probably need to replace the filter. If it's a burnt rubber smell, then it's your belt for sure. * If you can not replace the entire filter then have your dad blow it out with a compressor.*
Q: any specific brands or models? I'm looking for under 200 dollars, thanks
Yes, Washing machine................Soak your pet in soap water..........and then put him in washing machine...............and wash him........and do not put him in dryer.............just dry him outside in scorching heat of the Sun..............!!!!!!!!!!
Q: I need a new vacuum cleaner for my home. We DON'T have pets. I'd prefer a lightweight vac. We had the CR magazine issue with the reviews a few months back but I must've lost it or thrown it out. Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
I'm impressed with Dyson. It's not too heavy to drag around and it has no bags to empty. You just remove the top section and chuck out the dust. It does a brilliant job.
Q: can commercial vacuum cleaners be used a home ?I dont know if their high speed and powerful motors can damage the carpet at my home.I am thinking of buying oreck but dont know if I buy thier commercial vacuum cleanerthey can damage my carpet.Let me know if you have any experience with those.
I would advise you not to worry on this score. The difference between commercial vacuum cleaners and the domestic machines is that the commercial ones are bigger, have a more powerful motor and are heavier. You need not worry about damaging your carpet by using a commercial cleaner; the dirt will be sucked out more effectively but not that powerfully to spoil the strands. So far as the rest of your house is concerned, a bigger vacuum cleaner will do a better job of cleaning even the nooks and corners. People go for the smaller domestic versions as they are not expensive and consume less electricity. I have a commercial vacuum cleaner and use it both in my home and adjacent office and am delighted with the results.
Q: I hear great things about there products but don't the cost something like $500. who owns one and do you like it?
My mother and grandmother swear by it. I have told them in the past that they were silly to spend so much on a vacuum cleaner, but they wouldn't listen. Apparently these vacuum cleaners pick up all the crap that a regular vacuum cleaner leaves behind. They both rave aboutt it's awe-inspiring power. I have a cheap walmart vacuum that doen't pick up much....so, I guess it depends on how fanatical you are about clean floors. I can't afford one....and if I had extra money,,,I'd probably buy a nice flatscreen tv! :)
Q: The vacuum cleaner is a Toshiba brand (VC-702EX). I tried checking the local hardware shops but I can't find it anywhere. They are only selling filters for new models of vacuum cleaners. I can't even find the local Toshiba distributor here.
You okorder , but try asking the hardware store to special order a case for you. They normally have a special order department.
Q: I am trying to find a vacuum cleaner that works but has a security feature that prevents it from being stolen. I work in a residence hall and have inherited the task of finding new vacuum cleaners. This hall has a history of thievery when it comes to vacuums, so I am hoping to find a means by which to control usage of a vacuum either with a key, a code, a combination, a timer, etc. Checking them out and in has proven not to work so well in the past.I want these vacuums to last for a long time, and I want them to be able to power through almost anything (hair, stickers, bobby-pins, etc.). Thanks for the help!
That is a tough one. I do not know of a vacuum that has a lock built into it. The Miele canister vacuum cleaners have a handle. You can put a bicycle style lock through the handle. You could also do that with a Dyson. The Miele's last really well.
Q: Hi im going to purchase a steam cleaner to wash my carpet but i also have a vacuum that i use to take off the dirt off my carpet but it really needs a wash thats why i want to buy a steam cleaner. does the steam cleaner also replace a vacuum by sucking dirt up or is it only for washing the carpets? cuz i dont want to buy that on top of buying another newer vacuum
Yeah i am a foremost expert on carpet cleaning, believe me it is way better than a vaccum. It sucks the dirt as well clean your carpet.I use The RugDoctor myself when i`m slaving around the house.Well good luck with that!
