In fact, I think they still make their vacuum cleaners in the US. Most other brands probably manufacture in China although their corporate headquarters could be in the US. To find other names, just google something like vacuum cleaners buy You'll get a list of companies. Then google the companies' names to find their headquarters. Or go down to KMart etc. and look for the origin of manufacture on the machines. Look for the word China.

Q:Currently I use a Bissell power force. It does work well but does not pick up all hair. I know I cant complain due to the fact is was under $50. Just like you the house's we clean have an array of flooring, wood, tile, oriental rugs, carpet.Please help with your experience Thanks!!: I have had the same issues time and time again, either too heavy, won't fit under furniture, hoses tear, too may filters and like you tired of replacing them. I purchased a Dyson about a year ago and it has not lost suction yet. I use it everyday it only needs one filter and I wash it out as directed which is perfect for me. The extension pole on it is great too for getting dusty spots and spiderwebs. I comes with a lot of different attachments so i can manage multiple surfaces. I will never buy another vacuum brand.

Q:I have waited a year or so to finally get my hands on a hand vacuum cleaner because my mom said we needed to get a good one. Well she finally bought one, but she only bought it because it was ON SALE. I don't know much about hand vacuum cleaners, except this one SUCKS.It's by Sunbeam and it's called quot;Star Elite.It doesn't have a lot of power, only has a small opening to collect dirt etc (1quot;x 1cm) and is horrible at picking up stray pieces of hair. It only also works for 15 minutes and then it has to be charged for 15 hours.The main problem out of all that I have is the lack of power and horribly ability to pick up stray hair off the ground.Does anyone know a hand vacuum cleaner that is certainly better than this?: a Eureka Hand-Held Vacuum is the best i could find.
