Q: i tend to want a cannister because it easier to get underneath beds, tables, sofa......gimme brands and models if you can,,,XOXOXO: In my opinion, I would not buy a Rainbow! My mother has one that she paid over $1000 for and I would lots have my upright that came from WalMart. You have to put water in it every time you vaccum and then empty it; in other words, it's just a pain to deal with. Before that she had an Electrolux cannister and I loved it. Like you said, you could get it underneath lower furniture. The only drawback was that it took up too much room to store. They do make an Electrolux upright now that is great. My ex-boyfriend's mom sells them. They are a little expensive, but worth the price. They pick up grit and 'fuzzies' very well. Electrolux even has a payment plan. When I buy a new vaccum, this will be my choice.

Q: I have long hair and it gets all over the carpet. The vacuum cleaner is meant to be a good strong one but it can't manage the hair. At best it will put it into clumps. I have to pick it up manually and it's very annoying. Why won't the vacuum cleaner work? Will another one work or am I doomed?: its not your vacuum cleaners fault. its the fact that your hair sticks to the carpets fibre so well. i have this same problem and my vacuum isnt good enough to do the job. what i do, is a get a broom. it must be very strong and have strong brissles. dont use the pathetic soft broom. the broom i use, is kind of like a scribbing broom used to scrub tiles. so basically just use it like a vacuum cleaner, and it will pick up all that hair from your carpet :)

Q: My son just started crawling and of course tries to pick up every little thing on the carpet...heres the problem, he is terrified of the vacuum and too heavy for me to hold or keep in a carrier as I do it. How often do you do these chores, does anyone have a way for me to help my son not be afraid?: From what I've heard it's super common for babies to be scared of vacuum cleaners. Oddly enough, my son's always been in love with ours though. I kind of contribute it to the fact that I've always been a neurotic vacuumer (would do the floors every single day)... so I think he got used to the noise in utero. Either way, I'm lucky that it wasn't a problem in our house, and I still vacuum every other day... I'd just leave him in the middle of the room and vacuum around him while he laughed. Now that he's walking, he chases it everywhere and tries to tackle it. You could try doing it in the evening once he's sleeping if that wouldn't wake him up. Or, I'd just keep trying... eventually he won't be so scared of it. Try just turning it on and letting him touch it and get used to it instead of trying to get it over with as quickly as possible. Just a thought :-) Good luck though, and I wouldn't stress about keeping the floor perfect. It might just be easier to do a daily sweep on your hands knees to pick up carpet junk.

Q: I mean money.Our company pay based on how many clients we sign. The top sales persons can sign 3 person per day on average. And that is $40 Australian dollars per sign. On my first day, I signed one customer successfully, but my boss told me that he had a problem with my working attitude.Now let's do that maths, we work 10 hours per day, and if we sign 3 people, that is $120/ 10 hours, that is $12/hour. If we are not lucky, (just like my quot;bosson that day), we could only sign 2 people, then it's $80/ 10 hours, that is $8 per hour. To compare, the a waiter in China town earns $8 per hour. And if I am not lucky, I can only sign one person, that is $4 per hour.I am not very happy with the pay and the quot;bossis having problem with my working attitude --- he wants me to work harder. Well I am currently in uni, let's be realistic, can I find a job with better pay than this? Should I leave the job or not?I have to reply to my boss if I want the job or not by tonight. Q: Does anyone know of a quiet vacuum? I would like to vacuum the house without my little man crying.: Both of my children had the same issue. My daughter (who is still very noise sensitive at 6) will still go to her room when I am vacuuming. They got a toy one and it helped significantly. I second the bathroom hand dryer thing. Also the automatic toilets still bother my kids. Another thing that helped was letting my children vacuum. I didn't turn it on the first few times, but then they started pushing the button when they were ready. You don't say how old he is, but if he is old enough to try to help, let him. Or just carry him while you are vacuuming. Good luck...They generally outgrow it.

Q: We have had a rainbow vacuum SE for several years now and the power nozzle recently started not working as well as it should. We have replaced the belt and cleaned the brush, but nothing has seemed to help any. Is it time to replace the motor in the power nozzle?: .Well maybe the configurations of motor is not the same, meaning it is wired differently. I personally would be taking it to Electrician as last thing is having a dangerously wired cleaner... Earth missing on motor is a worry as I said take it to a professional keep away from DIY in this case..?
