- lol yes it still hoovers! instead of going into a bag it goes into a compartment in the hoover, which when full u can take off and empty... then put it back on... works exactly the same as a bag hoover, just more convienient and easier!

I am looking for a great, affordable vacuum that does not collect hair in the bristles on the bottom of the vacuum but actually sucks it up into the machine. - We also have allergies (and asthma) to deal with in our home, PLUS we have a mini zoo of cats and dogs. I have always recommended our Dyson vacuums to family because of this. Most of the Dyson vacuums (if not all maybe) are certified and recommended by the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America.

- Estate sales and Auctions getting rid of family possessions. Also, stores that sell new and used vacuum cleaners will have them for sale. New machines are grossly over priced as huge commissions are involved for the sales person.

- eh, boys are just into that, as a girl, I don't think most of us ever really cared, I still don't. To me it's a piece of metal you can get places in- for boys there's this whole facination with the actual car I agree, I find the vaccum cleaners offensive, though!! Seriously... it's like household chores, how is that only for girls!!! I see stuff like that all the time.. ugh. There was a guy on wife swap who called it skirt work :( but then the new wife made him see what it was like to do all the work like his wife did!! that made me laugh!! But the cooking ones are a little taboo... it is usually like housework, feeding the family, but chefs both women and men can make a career out of it, it's more like an art for them- like there are some really good cooking colleges and stuff.

- Wouldn't recommend them. A friend had one- they don't pick up much. Might be of use if you have a large room with no corners (It's hard to program them for odd sizes) and not much furniture, but if you have that situation how hard is it to just run the vacuum?

- I've worked with all the major name brand vacuum cleaner manufacturers (Bissel, Eureka, Oreck, etc...) and the pigmented plastics are almost always ABS while the clear surfaces are acrylic (cheaper models) or polycarbonate which is very hard and durable, and of course expensive. ABS is easy to mold and is relatively fracture resistant, good qualities for this application. It is not clear in color which is why it is normally found pigmented. Polycarb can be molded in a transparent color (ie. tinted lenses for motorcylces) but because of its cost, is rarely heavily pigmented to a solid color
- Q:I am looking to replace a vacuum cleaner. I have had several Hoover Windtunnels and just purchased and returned a Bissell Pet Vac. I have five dogs and three cats and have been going thru vacuum cleaners about every two years. I am considering spending a bit more money hoping to have a vacuum last longer and was looking into the Dyson. I hate to blindly spend that kind of money on something when all of the reviews are from people who haven't had theirs very long. I am looking for people who have had their Dyson 4 or more years and I am interested in the good, the bad and the ugly. I am looking into the DC07 animal and the DC17 absolute animal. Please only serious responses from owners who meet the above mention criteria.Thanks!!
- coming from someone that's owned a vacuum cleaner store for 15yrs.,I have worked on all of them .The dyson is the best you can buy,I'll tell you why,there's nothing you have to buy for it ,no bags ,no belts ,and no filters.another thing about the dyson is there is a 5yr. warranty.I've studied all of them and there is nothing as durable as the dyson.I would buy the DC-17 Absolute, unless you want the extra attachments then get the DC-17 Absolute animal.hope this helps.
- Q:Getting women is like selling vacuum cleaners...knock on enough doors and you WILL make a sale!Always keep that in mind when you think that there is no hope or some chick is doing you wrong. There are literally hundreds of chicks out there that are right for you just in your area! You just have to put forth the EFFORT into finding them, it a numbers game.It took me awhile of selling vacuum cleaners, but eventually I got the sale that allowed me to retire.This concept also applies for the ladies, however they aren't usually the one's doing the quot;knockingquot;.
