Q: I've got a badly clogged bathroom sink. I took out the draiin cover and I can see where the water is just standing/ draining extremely slowly. I can't reach the clog, but I was able to get a wire coat hanger into it and pull out a small bit of hair (not sure how hair even got into the sink!) but it didn't do anything to speed the draning. There could be a small bit of gravel in the drain from a few months ago as well as some bits of paper (all on accident, I'd never put anything down there!). I already tried some baking soda and vinegar but it didnt help, the vinegar just made the water level raise. The water is maybe 6 or 7 inches from the drain (not in the sink, in the pipe). What should I do? Thanks for your help :): get some lye (NaOH) from the diy store. preferrably pallets. let it sink (no pun intended) to the bottom (best with boiling water but if its already full it cant). and let it sit out for a day. if that doesnt work a plumber should come

Q: The under-sink cabinet in my bathroom is cheap hollow plastic and is the most hideous shade of off-white, just looks dingy. I want to paint it a nice, clean, bright white. It has some shows on there that show u how to recycle things u have and how to manage ur money so u can fix things up too. and in the kitchen, u said it was small. to open it up, just put a small mirror right behind the stove. it really makes it look a lot bigger. if it cant be permanent, then i would suggest buting the hooks that dont leave marks on ur walls. for ur furniture, i would decorate ur couch with a dark blue blanket that is folded over into a triangle, buy a few cheapo throw pillows in a similar color to the blanket and the same amount of pillows in a cream or white color so u dont have the same color everywhere. to seperate ur two rooms i would probly try to put a small table or maybe evn something like a bench ya kno? it would be able to seperate the two rooms and if you buy the bench it would add storage. u alwas want more storage no matter what! then in ur bathroom, for more storage i would buy something that is kind of like a tower with shelves, in silver, and that way u can store ur towels on some of the bottom shelves and maybe ur lotions and bubble baths or anything else on some of the top shelves. to add color to ur bathroom i would bring in some colorful towels and maybe a new shower curtain. it adds ur personality and it brightens the whole room. good luck with every thing! i hope i helped u some...

Q: Big bathroom sink crack, repairable or...?: Hi you can repair the sink with a epoxy resin that you can get in many colours. look on line also if you can apply on the underside of the sink. P.S If the damage was accidental you may be covered on your house insurance. You may be better advised to buy a new sink, your eyes will always be drawn to the repair when you use the sink. More often than not matter builds-up at the plumbing tree located in the wall in back of the drain pipe that is usually visible under your sink. If you elect to try this be sure to run water when inserting the snake in to the drain pipe and counter turn it when back it out of the pipe moderately pulling back on it at the same time. The snake I am recommending can be purchase at any home improvement store like Ace Hardware, Home Depot or Lowes for a reasonable price.
