- All maximum. On some of the older cranes it's written on a plate: so many tonnes at so much radius etc. In the really good old days a pointer needle was on the side of the jib pointing to a scale in tonnes, variable as the jib went in/out/up/down. If you think about it, there's no other way to rate a crane apart from its maximum performance. Hope this helps.

- Q:i have a 83 camaro crane cam 305 v 8 4brrl edelbrock carb and i just changed the carb from a quadrajet to the edelbrock....but i cant seam to get it running right as long as im out on the highway it runs great but when i stop at a stop light i have to rev it up to keep it running..i changed the plugs plug wires and the distributor but i heard you have to have a different kind of distributor to change from the quareajet ( will all of the plug in and stuff to a regular edelbrock carb..is this true??
- If you can get vacuum from the intake manifold to the distributor advance, there is no reason to change distributors. You may need to re-jet the idle. Also if the cam is too steep and/or the carburetor is too big, the engine will flood. Check with Crane on timing changes and idle settings. The idle may need to be set up a little.

However, West 57th Street between Broadway and 7th Avenue is closed until farther noticed. - There were 535 total in 2009--the population increased slightly last year but I have not seen a total for the population of 2010. Deaths can occur at any time so the number changes constantly. The Journey North site counts 281 adults in the wild western population and 106 birds in the reintroduced eastern flock. They did not give a number for the birds in captivity so I cannot give you a total. You can follow the reintroduced whooping crane population and their migration each spring and fall on the Journey North (in fall called Journey South site). They also track song birds and hummingbirds and monach butterflies.
