Q: what do sand-hill cranes eat-as far as planting a food source for them?
These birds forage while walking in shallow water or in fields, sometimes probing with their bills. They are omnivorous, eating insects, aquatic plants and animals, rodents, seeds and berries. Outside of the nesting season, they forage in large flocks, often in cultivated areas. In many western states and provinces of Canada, Sandhill Cranes are hunted during waterfowl seasons. The meat is reportedly among the better-tasting gamebirds.[citation needed] The Florida subspecies is often seen in residential yards, and these birds seem little afraid of human approach. These visitors will eat shelled corn and commercially purchased bird seed from the ground and from feeders.
Q: What do you do after you made 1000 paper cranes. I know you string them up, but storing them is hard. Do you ceremoniously burn them or what? When can they be gone? This is the missing link in the story I want to know. I have 846 and I want to know what to do after I'm done.
i know this big organisation in Japan and some of my frineds live there... if you are interested, I can give you the address and more details...etc
Q: In the U.S. please and tell me where and how you got the number. Thanks!!!
There are so many overhead cranes in operation today in the US and around the world. They could be numbering in tens of thousands in industries and other operations. An overhead crane, commonly called a bridge crane, is a type of crane found in industrial environments. An overhead crane consists of parallel runways with a traveling bridge spanning the gap. A hoist, the lifting component of a crane, travels along the bridge. If the bridge is rigidly supported on two or more legs running on a fixed rail at ground level, the crane is called a gantry crane (USA, ASME B30 series) or a goliath crane (UK, BS 466). Unlike mobile or construction cranes, overhead cranes are typically used for either manufacturing or maintenance applications, where efficiency or downtime are critical factors. Have a pleasant day.
Q: What is the present status of large Boom Tower Crane?
Large boom crane arm depicts one and another new history. New York's World Trade Center towers is the skyscraper that is the highest and has the most floor in New York City .Its main building is steel and concrete composite structures, using steel 78 thousand tons. The Building started in 1966 and lasted seven years, with 110 layers, 411 meter in height as a giant skyscraper it is writed in history. During in Construction
Q: im so frustrated because ive tryed everything and im obsessed with this book it would really help if someone could find a way for me to read it for free online. i cant find it at my library.please and thank you:)?
Shelly Crane is not giving the book away for free so any online site that has it, has stolen intellectual property.
Q: You see cranes on the floor which rise about 50 metres, but sometimes, when building high sky scrapers, I see cranes on the 70th floor or the 80th floor. How do they put the the crane so high up there when it can only go up high around 60-70 metres?
these cranes are self raising. as they need to go higher they raise themselves up on hydraulic jacks and another section is bolted in the gap that is left. i hope this will answer your question
Q: The arm of a crane at a construction site is 12.1 m long, and it makes an angle of 30° with the horizontal. Assume that the maximum load the crane can handle is limited by the amount of torque the load produces at the base of the arm. (a) What is the magnitude of the maximum torque the crane can withstand if the maximum load the crane can handle is 500 N?(b) What is the maximum load for this crane at an angle of 35° with the horizontal?
(a) What is the magnitude of the maximum torque the crane can withstand if the maximum load the crane can handle is 500 N? τ = FL τ = 500(12.1cos30) τ = 5239.45 τ = 5240 Ν?m (b) What is the maximum load for this crane at an angle of 35° with the horizontal? τ = FL F = τ / L F = 5239.45 / 12.1cos35 F = 528.6109... F = 529 N I hope this helped. Please remember to vote a Best Answer from among your results. It's good karma as it keeps things in balanced exchange.
Q: What is W_safe, the largest weight of the load that is safe to lift regardless of the angle of the crane's arm?
I think the answer you're looking for is (Wc)/(2a). ...Assuming you're in my physics class!
Q: Whenever a vista shot of London comes up, there are a ridiculous amount of cranes. What's up? Are they always building something?
I have no idea why I'm even wasting my time writing this non sense that won't end up helping you what so ever. If I knew the answer to your question I wouldn't mind helping you but considering I'm almost on the other side of the planet, California, I have no idea what to tell you. I guess I just want the points so I can ask a question myself...it's probably the Indians or Pakistanis.
