Q: i looked at new wheels for a 2004 ford f150 . they are 17x9 what is the best tire size to put on them?
the tire size that should work the best is on a tag on the drivers door . I know that Ford has done some testing etc and they put the tires on to keep up the fuel ratings etc. in most cases this works ok. but if you increase or decrease the recommended size of the tires then your mileage or performance may suffer. of course just putting on wider tires wont change any ratios . there is a lot of variables involved Hope this helps
Q: Car tires have no inner tube in the appearance of how to distinguish?
There is a very long inner tube, the tubeless valve is vertical very short.
Q: The difference between car tires 97v and 101w
97 represents a single tire maximum load of 730 kg, v represents a maximum speed of 240 km per hour; 101 that single child maximum load capacity of 825 kg, the maximum speed of 270 km per hour.
Q: My tire tread creates a lot of cabin noise.I was just wondering if anyone knew some tire treads that were quite due to design.(that aren‘t super expensive)
Confusing really if you have knobby tires they howl it's just what they do if you want less road noise from the tires switch to a less aggressive tire tread go with all season unless you don;t live somewheres where it snows you can get some street tires
Q: On average, how long would it take for a reasonably new set of tires to develop flat spots from sitting too long?
Radial tires don't get flat spots. The old Bias ply tires did, but you don't see those tires around anymore.
Q: I‘m new to tubular and im looking to get a set of tires. Im looking at the xxx race lites but I cant really find any reviews online. So does anyone use these tires? how well do they work for racing?Thank you
cs I do. A good tire. I use mine with a Mr Tuffy and have had no road flats in over three years. Soccerref
Q: puepuse of having tyre pressur sensor what does it do wid abs
The tire pressure monitor/sensor is designed to alert the driver that one or more wheels is below the recommended psi. So check your tires, and if necessary, pump it up to the recommended pressure. (located either in your owners manual, b-pillar, or gas flap.) The pressure monitor/sensor doesn't work in conjunction with the ABS.
Q: If I want to inflate my tires to a specific PSI, do I have to deflate the tire entirely and then inflate them again using a floor pump?
No. You can just add to the existing air in the tires. Since you want a specific PSI, be sure you have either a gauge built in to you pump or a seperate tire gauge.
Q: What pressure should Hankook Radial K106 Tires be at on a 2004 Saturn Ion-3?
Hankook Radial K106 Tires be at on a 2004 Saturn Ion-3? It doesn't matter what tires are on the car. Look on the driver's door panel and it should tell you the running tire pressure. Good Luck.
Q: I bought a ‘97 Mitsubishi 3000GT with Yokohama tires. Apparently tho the tires were mounted backwards, i.e. the arrows on the tires showing which way the tire should roll when driving foward are pointing to the rear of the car instead of forward. This was pointed out to me by a mechanic also. So is this a big safety issue? I assume to change the tires back to the way they‘re supposed to be would make things worse? Thanks for any help.
directional tires will not track properly in the wrong direction someone probably rotated them without thinking. just have them rotated back so they are in the right direction leftside to the right side and visa- versa
