Just like there is no crane stance. There are many blocks and stances in White Crane boxing and they are ALL crane blocks and crane stances. The blocking system is very sophisticated and takes hard work and proper mechanics to grasp the idea. Do you have a Fujian White Crane school near you? If you do, enroll in it and learn it the right way - under a trained instructor. I guarantee you that you will not be learning any blocking applications. In the White Crane Arts, you do nothing but Sam Chien for the first three years. So forget this fantasy of learning it here on Yahoo Answers. Edit: Let me correct myself - there are not even any blocks in White Crane Fist. All the movements you see are trapping and grappling techniques.
