Q: It's a local company in Omaha that seriously could be the next Starbuck's if they ever expand.
It won't expand if Starbucks have their way. They have driven all their competiton out of business. I hope Crane Coffee can survive.
Q: I've heard that daddy longlegs aka crane flies contain the most deadly venom of all insects. The only reason they aren't dangerous or deadly is because they have no mouth or 'straw' to inject the venom. But I'm not sure what's correct. Although they cannot harm us humans, is it possible for them to be able to inject the venom into other creatures? Also, I've heard that dragonflies contain deadly venom too, but just like with the crane flies, they cannot transfer the venom any way. Is this true?Any zoology professionals? Note: I may need correcting, and this may even be just an urban myth. Thanks for your time!
Daddy-long-legs is a term used in different parts of the world for crane flies, harvestmen and cellar spiders. Crane flies and harvestmen are completely harmless, have no venom and don't bite. Cellar spiders which are long legged spiders found in many parts of the world can bite and are venomous but the venom has little effect on humans and a bite is less than that of a flea or a mosquito. The reason cellar spiders got their reputation is that they have been seen catching, killing and eating other spiders such as black widows. It was thought that a spider capable of killing a highly venomous spider such as a black widow must be highly venomous itself. This is not the case and cellar spiders are no threat to humans.
Q: Please try to give information on the questions bellow: .What the climate was in the Japanese Crane's habitat (high, lows, averages, precipitation) . Plants in the Japanese crane's habitat .2-3 major animals in its habitat .2-3 minor animals in its habitatTHANK YOU SO MUCH!!! .
in the east Hokkaido, the north island of japan. some japanese crane in russia goes to north korea in winter, but cranes in hokkaido stay all through the year.
Q: Tower cranes sometimes have very long booms, but seem to usually have fixed counter-weights at fixed positions behind the cab. Why doesn't it flip backwards when there is no load, or flip forwards when a load is way at the far outward end of the boom? It seems to be a very large range of moment arms given that the counter-weight has a fixed one.
I think the counter weights are connected to a pully system that directly interacts with the boom and hook movement. This way it can put more or less pull on the weights according to the amount of weight or position of the weight on the crane.
Q: Under what circumstances does a tower crane require third party testing?
New installation, demolition, close, major transformation, the use of site work committee, the use of factories to the Technical Supervision Bureau
Q: Which Kung Fu influenced Shotokan, Shito-ryu and Shorin-ryu?
Chinese Martial Arts influenced the development of Karate in Okinawa, not Japan. So any influence in Japanese styles like Shotokan are a little more removed from that origin. Shotokan was brought to Japan by Gichen Funakoshi, so many people would argue that it is a Okinawan style...... However the Karate that Funakoshi learned and taught in Okinawa is far different from how Shotokan appears now. In Funakoshi's books fro the early 1900's he is always shown standing in a high stance with his feet close together. But Shotokan as practiced by the Japanese uses mainly lower deeper stances. Shorin-Ryu is not really just one version/style. There are several different versions of the style. for instance the three most practiced are: Shobayashi-Shorin-Ryu, Kobayashi-Shorin-Ryu, and Matsubayashi-Shorin-Ryu. There are also other lesser know styles of Shorin-Ryu. Although these all share some things they are all different in some ways. It would take a bit of research to look up all the styles that have influenced them. The same can be said for Shito-Ryu. Like Shorin-Ryu, it also has several versions. One of the best books that gives the lineage of Okinawan styles is called Okinawan Karate, teachers, styles and secret techniques. The book was written by Mark bishop. It has been one of the most useful books in tracing down things about Okinawa Karate and from what it developed. ...
Q: I ve read about crane flies and many experts say they do not bite nor sting. Ifor that is the case, what is the little piece of their abdomen that looks like a stinger?
ovipositor?
Q: What did Stephen crane contribute to history?
I think his greatest contribution was The Red Badge of Courage. It was the most ealistic portrayal of a Civil War soldier written at the time; so real, in fact, that veterans swore the had fought alongside him during battle (Crane wasn't even alive during the war).
Q: What is the inspection certificate for tower cranes?
Inspection certificate of tower crane must have two certificates:1, the manufacturer issued its own "product quality certificate"2. The product quality supervision and inspection certificate issued by the Technical Supervision Bureau
Q: and it appears to be looking up at the sky?
I think critterman is the only one here that using any sense. Since the animal's neck is relatively long I think it's more than likely that it will be in an abnormal position after being struck. It's also possible, but I don't know for sure that the neck muscles that draw the head back are stronger than those necessary to allow it to lower.
