Q: what is this cable called I can't find it anywhere because i don't know what it's called if anyone knows anything about it or who sells it please explain.Thanks: If this is what you're referring to, it's called a Y Power cable since it splits power to two sources using the same interface. If you're needing just two of the normal power cables, well that's different... Literally, they're called PC Power Cables. Kind of generic.

Q: I am trying to find a 4 Pin Fan Power Splitter Cable or my computer since I only have 1 4 Pin Fan Power jack and I want to use 2 4 pin fans. I am having a really hard time trying to find one in hamilton: Before hooking that up, check the specs on your motherboard to see if that fan header will support loads from both fans. You may need to get a Molex to 4-pin converter and power directly off your power supply.

Q: So my aunt gave me an old NES, but all she had was the system itself and a few games. She didn't have any of the wires. Luckily I found this retro game store near me and bought a few cables that I thought was all I needed (The power cable so it would actually turn on and the audio video cord) but apparently I need something else? Well, you need an NES AC adaptor and an NES RF Switch. The RF Switch is that little gray box with the coax screw on it. If your tv (or whatever you're plugging the console into) doesn't have the old analog plugs that a coax cable can screw in to, then I don't know of any other solution?

Q: Hi all, I'm moving into a new apartment August 1, and I'm wondering how far in advance I need to call the power company, cable company, etc to set up service. I know this is probably a dumb question, but throughout college I moved into apartments where at least one of the other roommates was staying (I took over someone's lease who was moving out, but the other girls stayed so I was the only new resident). But I'm moving into a one bedroom, and I've never had to set these things up before so I just thought I'd ask what the standard time frame is. Is a month enough advance notice--should I start setting this stuff up in early July? Or sooner? Thanks in advance!: You only need to set up power about a week in advance. As for cable,phone,etc. they can take longer to get setup. Just call and notify them of your move in date and they'll get it scheduled.

The Hard Drive is SATA if relevant. Thank you!: That's the main power connector for the motherboard. It probably plugs into that white socket behind it on the board, but check the motherboard manual to make sure you put it in the right place. It's pretty hard to plug things into the wrong place most of the time, but check to be sure.

However, a lot of people will disagree. For induction between power and signal wire to occur, a form of AC must be introduced on the DC power wire. One solution, if you want to run them together, is to have good shielded RCA cables and/or to separate the RCA wires and twist them (as in twisted pair wire, twisted pair wire is used in CAT3, CAT5 and CAT6 communication wire to eliminate noise/interference/induction). Another solution is distance, you don't have to have cable on both sides of the car as a 1 foot separation will do just as good. ____________ As for will s, What in the world would anyone use a zener diode for? A zener diode is used to regulate a lower voltage from a higher voltage. Example, if I wanted a pure 6 volts from a 12 volt supply then I would use a zener. Zeners don't operate well when the supply is the same as what you want out (ie, 12 volt supply, 12 volts out). Besides to find one to handle the current will both be quite large and expensive. Plain useless. Additional notes Clearly your attempts are for a good measure, but lack in the knowledge of what really happens with the introduction of induction on an input, makes your idea wrong. My pestering hostile e-mails were nothing more than a discussion on how your idea wouldn't be cost effective or practicle. It's a shame you can't take constructive critisism. I would like to point out that overvoltage transients and induction are two totally different things in their respective terms. Overvoltage transients are caused by motors and relays turning on/off. Induction occurs exactly what happens in an AC transformer. But in this case, AC isn't an issue since it's a DC power source. Granted, induction is probable, but not likely due to the insignifacant level of voltage produced plus the sheilding of the RCA cables.

Q: While DISCONNECTED from the amp, I accidentally touched the power cable with the ground cable. Sparks went flying and I smelt a funny odor. Since then, when I go to turn on my radio, my amp only lights up for a second and then looses power. Unfortunately, I feel I've fried my ground wire (upon close inspection, the power/battery cables fuse is still good along with amp signal wire and RCA's) My question is simply this: When replacing my ground wire, can I use left over power/battery cable? Q: I want to hook up (charge) my iphone AND my radar on my motorcycle. My radar is already wired to the 12v cable in my bike. Now can I hook up the iphone to the same cable? or is it gonna be drawing too much power? thxI was planning on buying the cigarrete lighter thing, and pluging the iphone into that. I'd obviously hook up the cig lighter to the 12v cable.: Splice into the wire of each device, an in-line fuse holder. Use a 10A fuse. Every wire on your bike can handle 10A If a wire were to draw more than 10A the fuse would blow before any damage were to occur.
