Q:Okay, magnet wire is coated with some red fancy insulation. Is that just an enamel? If so, enamel coated copper wire magnet wire would be the same thing.I want to build a loudspeaker. This what I need? Are the coils used in loudspeakers the same ones used in inductor coils? One interesting question,When Faraday was experimenting with the effects of magnetism on electricity, how in the hell did he figure out the magnetic field increased with the number of turns of copper in his coils!I'm only assuming Faraday didn't have insulated copper wires.Lmao, if they aren't insulated, how in the heck is he suppose to know how much the field is increased. The Coil would just become a big conductor lol
This Site Might Help You. RE: Magnet Wire, Bare Copper Wire, Or Enamel Copper Coated Wire? Okay, magnet wire is coated with some red fancy insulation. Is that just an enamel? If so, enamel coated copper wire magnet wire would be the same thing. I want to build a loudspeaker. This what I need? Are the coils used in loudspeakers the same ones used in inductor...
Q:Help me, please! I have an old air conditioning system...made in 1985, and the condenser fan went out. Long story short, I bought a new fan and I don't know how to hook it up. The old fan had 4 wires coming out of it: purple, black, green, and brown. The green is the ground and the brown and the purple went to the capacitor, black to power. Then there were two smaller black wires attached to the capacitor and they lead out to other components. My new fan has a green wire, a white wire, a black wire, a brown wire and a brown and white striped wire. My problem is this: I don't know where to attach the white wire or what to do with the two smaller black wires that were attached to the old capacitor. I was told by the gentleman who sold me the fan that I splice the white wire to purple wire - then do I hook that to the capacitor? What do I do with the two smaller black wires that lead out to other components??? (Cap them off???) I am confused and need some advice!
You need to check the wiring diagram that came with the motor. It will show you what wires to hook where. The capacitor is supposed to be hooked into the starting windings of the fan to kick start it initally, then it drops out of the circuit, and the run windings take over. They probably cross-matched a motor, so the same hookups aren't an option, so you will have to go back to the place, take a drawing of what the wires coming out to the old motor are, and what the new wires to your motor are, and have them connect the dots so to speak to give you a new wiring diagram.
Q:how do I wire the generator so it can spin 360 on the pole with out snapping the wires.... Thanks
You need some ring contacts and brushes that will be touching those rings that will be spinning while the generator does to complete a circuit without twisting wires. Make sure you get the right size rings and wire for the amount of current
Q:Electron flow in a conducting wire.?I have some confusion regarding the flow of electrons in a wire when voltage is applied across it. Intuitively, i see that when i apply voltage across the ends of the wire say by a battery. The voltage pushes the electrons in the wire. As, a result the electrons flow in straight direction rather than going zig-zag. Some of the electrons reach the positive terminal of the battery, now my query is what happens when the electrons reach the positive terminal.Do they loose all their energy? Also, how is there a constant flow of electrons in the wire because since electrons are flowing constantly from the negative to the positive, is there no instance all the free electrons in the wire have reached the positive terminal? Basically what i mean to say is do the free electrons ever gets extinct? I am sorry if my question sounds stupid but can anyone please explain me a little bit in a conceptual manner?
The pace of the electron is variable relying upon the the style of energy you are dealing with. In our case, electrons waft within the conductor, though it's sluggish, it is only like ping-pong balls(Analogous to electrons) inside of a say, plastic pipe slanted down ward. When you provide a bit little bit of strain( i.E. Electrical Voltage or emf in our case) one pushes the other and the other one to the subsequent one so on momentarily (Which is very rapid action). This is how you to find the light turned on immediately once you turn the swap On. I feel is the brief answer for the query. Thank you.
Q:when checking white wire at the box it is cold when checking at the light switch it has power i am confused
The white (neutral) wire should bypass the switch. The black wire should run to and from the switch terminals, if it is wired correctly. This applies even if the light is wired hot (as they used to be back in the day). Sounds like someone has connected black to white somewhere. Is there correct current between the black white wires?
Q:1980 ford f150 300 engine i need the wiring specs for the back lights thank you for any answers
what okorder and go to the repair manual section.. Autozone has older (10 years or older) vehicle repair manuals online.. check it there as most include the wiring diagrams
Q:What silk is fine as hair, soft as wool, strong as steel?
Molybdenum wireMolybdenum wire mainly refers to wire cutting with high voltage electric field in a continuous movement by molybdenum and other precious metals made material cutting workpiece, fine wire cutting machine is the continuous movement of the workpiece is called wire electrode
Q:Need ro know where to put the wires correctly
try this K I S S power off keep it simple stupid NOW ,(((((turn the power off))))) at the wall you have a receptacle big brn thing slotted angled. If that is what you are talking about you lay the wires in it and screw the screw tight the top wires that angle are your hots black and red. there will be a green screw the bare grd goes there really tight, the white wire goes near the bottom or the silver screw the hots will be brassey looking , does not matter which goes where. (((((power off)))) power off At the dryer, this cord Gray flat with wires should have eyelets on it .Check and make sure your PLUG matches your receptacle The two wires on outside and the other on the other side , outside will be colored black and red, remaove the nut and place the oustside wires on the outside screws and tighten nuts bare wire to GREEN screw. AT the end of the dryer cord, if yo uare replacing the plug at the end of the cord which goes into the receptacle. you will have two brassey screws black and red go here remove about 3/4 of an inch of the colored insulation and insert in the hole this will put the wires in the right spot . you will have a sivler or white screw white goes there along with the green wire if you do not have the hole for it . Now turn power on and you are good to go
Q:Ok, i want to make a flash gun. I made one before with my cousin, but it broke. I remember what i used to make it, and how to make it, i just need the names of the wires and parts i need. How I made it: I had a battery connected to a wire that connected to a tube that had a special wire in there that heated up when i pressed a button. I would put flash paper in there, and a flame would shoot out. I need to know the name of that wire, I also need to know where to put the button on the wire connected to the battery. A link to a picture, or a detailed explanation would be really cool! Thanks!Nick
That okorder The circuit is simple. The parts are the battery, some regular wire, a push-button switch, and the nichrome wire. Connect one end of the short piece of nechrome wire to one end of a wire. Connect that end to one of the battery terminals. Connect a second piece of wire between the other battery terminal and one side of the switch. Connect a third piece of wire from the switch to the other end of the nechrome wire. When the button is pushed, the wire should heat up.
Q:I found an old Karavan flatbed utility trailer and am currently converting it into a snowmobile trailer (2 place). Me and a friend riped all the wire off of the trailer and completely rewired it. No matter how we configure it, the lights aren't coordinated. If we hit the left blinker in the car, all the lights flash(like the hazards are on). Right blinker works fine. we wired it first from the diagram on the karavan site. Now once we think about it, they have us wiring the ground into the light. so we searched the web and found this layout.
You need to buy one specific to your tow vehicle if you have a 5-wire system and one sure way to determine if you have a 5-wire system is if your rear turn signals have an amber lens. But not all 5-wire systems have amber lens on the rear turn signals so don't let that be the only determining factor. Check for yourself, or better yet, call a U-Haul center an tell them the year, make, and model of your tow vehicle and ask them if you need a converter harness. They will tell you what you need. But I am almost positive that the Chrysler Town and Country will need a converter harness.
