Description of excavator:
Engines in hydraulic excavators usually just drive hydraulic pumps; there are usually 3 pumps: the two main pumps are for supplying oil at high pressure (up to 5000 psi) for the arms, swing motor, track motors, and accessories, and the third is a lower pressure (700 psi) pump for Pilot Control, this circuit used for the control of the spool valves, this allows for a reduced effort required when operating the controls.
The two main sections of an excavator are the undercarriage and the house. The undercarriage includes the blade (if fitted), tracks, track frame, and final drives, which have a hydraulic motor and gearing providing the drive to the individual tracks, and the house includes the operator cab, counterweight, engine, fuel and hydraulic oil tanks. The house attaches to the undercarriage by way of a center pin. High pressure oil is supplied to the tracks' hydraulic motors through a hydraulic swivel at the axis of the pin, allowing the machine to slew 360° unhindered.
The main boom attaches to the house, and can be one of several different configurations:
Most are mono booms: these have no movement apart from straight up and down.
Some others have a knuckle boom which can also move left and right in line with the machine.
Another option is a hinge at the base of the boom allowing it to hydraulically pivot up to 180° independent to the house; however, this is generally available only to compact excavators.
There are also triple-articulated booms (TAB).

FAQ of excavator:
Q: What are the main functions of excavators?
A: Excavator is the machine that can excavate the the soil of various types forcefully and then using hydraulic system a hydraulic force is generated and utilizing this force bucket is exchange with some other attachments then excavator can be used for multi-purpose. For exemple pile diver, hydraulic jack hammer etc...
Q: What are the main type of excavators?
A: Crawler excavator; Wheel excavator;
Q: What is the application of excavators?
A: The excavator has increased the work speed tremendously. It is used extensively in numerous fields, including the following:
•Wood removal in forests
•Normal grading work and landscaping
•Cutting of brushes with attachments
•Demolition of structures, and removal of debris
- Q: Which brand of excavators is of the best quality?
- Fuel efficient and fast. Disadvantages: Volvo new machine can be, but domestic serious, more fragile, not enough thick, two mobile phone price is low, not good sell. 20T models, EC210B reference price, 100-106W Doosan: Korean brand, integrated more moderate, imported machines are low-end products, assembled. (DOOSAN) advantages: low price, low fuel consumption in -8 series. All kinds of projects are available. Disadvantages: the product quality is lower than the average price, moderate price, moderate quality, and poor after-sale. Low inflation. 20T models, DH215-9 reference price, 80-85W DH225-9 86-91W Hyundai: Korean brand, but it is low-end goods, assembled. (HYUNDAI) advantages: cheaper prices, good parts, cheap. Disadvantages: machines can't even reach the standard of domestic machines, either good or bad. Personal view: imported brands can only buy more than these brands, Keith (CASE), JCB (JCB), Kato (KATO), Terex (TEREX), Bohai Seoul (LIEBHER), Sumitomo (SUMITOMO), Ishikawa Shima (IHI), Kubota (KUBATO), Takeuchi (TAKEUCHI) are not allowed to buy. Low share, customer service service points less, difficult to buy accessories, if you buy, there will always be these problems. Komatsu and Carter belong to the independent production brand, the primary consideration
- Q: well im going into construction and just wondering if i need a heavy equipment license to operate these all the time or just on certain jobs and if just certain jobs what kind and how do i get my license like would i need one to rep down a house
- No, i know you only need to take a small course (like a couple weeks probably) to use an excavator, and i imagine its the same situation for the skidder.
- Q: what type of toys baby boys will likes?
- They do like basically vehicle types toys. Specially excavators, bull dosser, trucks and lorries
- Q: why dose it take archaeologist many years to excavate a site?
- Basically they have to work by hand. Going into a site, they do not know exactly where the artifacts will be...how deep, how close together etc. Also, the objects they seek can be very small. Using mechanical tools (excavators for example) can damage or destroy artifacts. They also want to map the locations of things they find, to see if there is a pattern...for example, finding a fire remnant and bones that show charring might indicate a kitchen given one pattern, or a massacre site given another. The closer they get to an object, the smaller the brush and the more delicate the handwork. There are other issues...the deeper one digs, the more you have to shore up the sides or widen them to avoid cave-ins...there are safety concerns. Also, most sites are not wasteland and they are tying them up from other uses, so permissions and agreements have to be obtained and kept. Many interesting sites have people living over them at the surface who would not appreciate having their house or business collapse because of an overzealous dig.
- Q: I have bought a 1 month old pastel ball he's in a seperat terrarium in another room then my 12 other adults he looks gorgeous and is Happy and active well here it it's I have a 30 by 12 by 18 tank one side has excavator tunnel's and a cave and a tree with zilla plastic plants this is his heat side I have a regular fluker basking spot running 12 hours and a black heat light that runs 24/7 then in the middle a large water dish then a all living things corner cave on the cool side along with a 15in reptiglo 5.0 and a fogger he is absolutely the most happy snake I've ever seen I also use eco earth he tunnel's in it also. - Q: Ask you, great God, excavator, fight wild, is the main Q, vice W, or the main Q, vice e!!!?!???
- The main Q Deputy e, after all, Q has the function of returning bloodAskQ return blood?Chasing the answerQ and then w back to the blood
- Q: my excavator hose has a leak. i installed new hose. the hydraulic oil was partially drained without my knowing. I started it but no response. I add oil but has no power. what would I do?
- Yes , is quite necessary. How would it work with air in there? Will need to bleed the system, and to do so, will have to cycle the controls back and forth till you get the air out of the actuator that your trying to move. Good luck.
- Q: Hi everyone I'm an Australia moving to Norway at the end of the year and I'm looking for work as a excavator operator in or around Stavanger. can any one help please?
- I did a quick search on the main job site in Norway, and I found two positions that fit the bill. www.finn.no/finn/job/object?finnk... www.finn.no/finn/job/object?finnk...
- Q: What should we pay attention to when purchasing excavators?
- If you buy a new car or if it is recommended to buy Hitachi Komatsu buy second-hand car or the main attention to the engine and hydraulic system
