- Q: What are some key features of self regulation (specifically to do with the press) that make it favorable?
- The freedom of the press is a paramount right, it cannot function under an external form of regulation. Why? Well, who would set the regulation? The government. The Press is called the Fourth Estate for a reason. If they are not able, for whatever reason, to report on the actions of the government then they are not able to fulfill their purpose. And what is the primary purpose of the Press? To serve as a check and a balance against the government. You can't have the fox guarding the hen house, it just won't work.
- Q: I have been bench pressing for 2 years now and I have never been injured. Towards the end of the school year I started feeling this sharp pain in my front deltoid and my shoulder. When I was lifting it hurt when I pushed the weight up. The pain isnt so much shoulder or chest its both, where the armpit lining is. The pain is a sharp pain sort of feels like the muscle inside is sore. I the pain wasnt going away so I iced it for like 2 days and I tried lifting again. I still felt the pain. So i took some time off and did not touch any weights for a whole month. Today i got back and tried lifting and I still felt the pain. There is no pain when im doing close grip bench, the pain comes when my grip gets a little wide. ANY ONE HAVE ANY AVICE or TREATMENT.

- Q: i received a rose yesterday and im persistent to make it last for years with out it falling apart!!! when i was a kid i used to press cosmos which turned out wonderful... now i have a half opened rose which i want to press.. any helpful deas?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? i want all the petals showing, how can i make it still look so lovely as it does now???????
- it will be pressed, but cant be lovely as it does now. as all the petals will come closer when u press.

- Presses are compound exercises, which mean they incorporate numerous muscles, including the triceps, shoulders and chest. The lats, traps and core also help support the motion. So depending upon which muscle is the weak link, you'll feel the lift in different places. However it's always good to review technique. Check out the video I have listed in sources, it's pretty informal, but solid information.
- Q: Hi there,i have been using a barbell bench press for my decline press and nearly every gym session i seem to stack the weights up and up. however when i use the smith machine for flat bench press it seems that it takes me a very long time to gain more weight.Which machine will get me better results and weight gains?ThanksP.S Is there any difference between the way the two machines work the chest?(The smith machine is a machine and barbell bench press is free hand)
- Always, ALWAYS go regular free weight bench press. Free weights are the most effective because the movements are not controlled...they are not as safe as machines per se, but what's a spotter for eh? I bench 185lbs (barbell) right now. If I were to use a Smith machine, I could probably do 225lbs due to the extra support. Decline bench pressing seems to be easier than incline for some reason. My favorite has and always will be the regular flat bench press, but I do understand what you mean by decline feeling easy. The standard, flat bench press is the #1 upper body exercise though.

- just keep benching at different angles flat bench incline bench decline bench 4 sets each an add a dumbell press in there also train chest 2x a week... an also do deadlifts an squats to get stronger take casein protein before bed
- Q: The standing barbell presses that you lift over your head, it works your shoulders. Should I stop doing this since im still growing? or is it safe.Also My friend told me that after you work out you should hang on a bar for 30 seconds to stretch your spine and you dont stunt your growth.. Is that true??????
- There are a lot of great athletes that started bench pressing when they were young. Most of them grew up to be 6, 7 foot tall. Bench pressing will not stunt your growth it might actually make you grow faster and bigger. The only thing you should worry about is lifting too much for you to handle and hurting yourself, that's about it. Good luck with everything!
