Q: Ive had it for over a year now and everything was fine. Ive recently had trouble sleeping on it and its got a bit of puss / liquid coming out (not much) it hurts to touch at the moment but is not red or swollen. Ive changed it to 2 seperate labrets for now to see how that works. It doesnt look like its moved but I am still worries! Thanks all!
If its not moving its not rejecting, but puss coming out isnt a good sign. Are you sure its not infected? If the puss smells and its itchy you could be on your way to an infection, the redness and swelling could come soon. Start cleaning it daily again (assuming youve stopped) and hope for the best! Good luck:)
Q: scaffold has a mass of 21.6 kg and is 2.5 m long, and is held on both ends by a vertical rope. what is tension?
21.6 x 10 = 216 N 216/2 = 108 N each rope
Q: A window washer is standing on a scaffold supported by a vertical rope at each end. The scaffold weighs 200 N and is 3.00 m long. What is the tension in each rope when the 700 N worker stands 1.00 m from one end? Please help me.
Draw the picture ie Free Body Diagram ALWAYS!! Sum Fx = 0 Sum Fy = 0 Sum Moments = 0 Take moments about one end. I choose the left end and put the window washer 1 m from the left end.====> Tension in left rope goes through the left end ==> lever arm has length=0 ===> moment from left rope = 0 Moment from window washer: 1 m * 700 N = 700 N-m clockwise Moment from weight of scaffold: 1.5 m * 200 N = 300 N-m clockwise (Center of gravity in center of scaffold) Your question says 190 N your question statement says 200 N. NOTE I solved for 200 N Total clockwise moment 700 + 300 = 1000 N-m CW Right rope must supply that Lever arm = 3 m * 1000 N-m = 3m * T T = 333.33 N UP Total force down = 200 + 700 = 900 N ===> Tension in left rope: 900 - 333.33 = 566.67 N
Q: We have warehouses for lease and only one caretaker to handle the changing of bulbs cleaning and painting.i need a sturdy, lightweight, and hopefully space saving scaffolding which can go up to 7 meters high.I have checked out some scissor lifts but they cost too much.
personally i think you would get more use out of a scissor lift...
Q: i have recently had a scaffold piercing slightly at a different angle to what you normally see thembut i have just noticed the bar cutting into the lobe itself and skin growing around it slightly should i take it out and put in studs until it finishes healing so I don't get the permanent cut in the lobe or have the skin grow around itcan any one help?
Sounds like your piercer did it too shallow or at an improper angle. Find a better piercer and have them look it out and change the jewelry if they need to. Since it's unhealed you don't want to mess with it yourself.
Q: how much ?
It depends where you go... But if you go to a decent body piercer, I'd say no less than ?20 and no more than ?40.
Q: About 5 days ago I got a scaffolding piercing done in my left ear, today I found a small bump behind the ear and I was wondering if I should get it checked out or if it's normal. The bump is directly behind my ear but on my head, and it's hard and feels kind of bone-like. It's not huge but not tiny, about the size of a marble. Also it doesn't hurt at all, I didn't even notice it was there until I felt behind my ear. I'm pretty sure it wasn't there yesterday so it must have only popped up today.Thanks. (:
it will be a harmless lymph node that has enlarged because of the piercing
Q: Does anyone know the qualifications to become a scaffolding engineer?
Calculations, specifications, plans, sections, and details for scaffolds and shoring must be prepared and certified by a licensed civil or structural engineer.
Q: I have just returned from Budapest and was amazed to see that a lot of the scaffolding used there is made of wood and not metal . The construction itself is wonderful and almost an artwork but I cannot see any advantage in using the wood which will rot in time.
Wood is cheaper in most cases.
Q: I just found a scaffold, what should I do?
Scaffoldation
