- Q: Ive had it for over a year now and everything was fine. Ive recently had trouble sleeping on it and its got a bit of puss / liquid coming out (not much) it hurts to touch at the moment but is not red or swollen. Ive changed it to 2 seperate labrets for now to see how that works. It doesnt look like its moved but I am still worries! Thanks all!
- If its not moving its not rejecting, but puss coming out isnt a good sign. Are you sure its not infected? If the puss smells and its itchy you could be on your way to an infection, the redness and swelling could come soon. Start cleaning it daily again (assuming youve stopped) and hope for the best! Good luck:)
- Q: i recently got a scaffolding piercing, and i got all of the blood of but i just want to know how i keep it clean :)
- just answered this 5 minutes ago xD i have an orbital in one ear which is basically the same as an industrial except it's a ring rather than a barbell. i fill up a bowl with hot water, add sea salt, let the salt dissolve, and then basically dip that side of my head into the bowl so my whole ear is covered. let it soak for 5-10 minutes and then you're done! ONLY use sea salt though. sea salt is a natural astringent and draws out infection and pus. it's the only thing i use to clean my piercings, including my nose and even my stretched ears. just soak your ear with hot sea salt water once a day.
- Q: I've been looking through a bunch of songs, but none of them seem to fit how Hester would feel when she's being ridiculed by everyone at the marketplace. I though of Boston by Augustana, Lights by Ellie Goulding, but then I didn't think they fit
- who says by selena gomez. HAHA not really. what about regina spektor, the call or maybe dream by priscilla ahn i dunno... or maybe try the lonely by christina perri. blah. i feel like i was no help
- Q: I was at work today hauling boxes 60 feet up on scaffolding and was wondering when I hauled the box up, would the forces acting on the box make it harder to pull up as I got higher?
- To my knowledge, the only force on the box to reckon with in your question is the force of gravity. For all practical purposes it stays the same in that distance you're working with. Gravity does decrease the higher up you go, but you won't notice it at all just going 60 feet. The box might feel heavier as you go up higher just due to your muscles getting tired from hauling it up the scaffold.
- Q: I know guns are supposed to be unsanitary and not good for you, BUT I want to get an industrial piercing on my left ear and I'm terrified of the needle. I currently have a cartilage (helix) piercing on my right ear that I got done with a gun, it didn't hurt a lot and healed quickly. I just want to know how bad a needle is compared to a gun and whether anybody has gotten an industrial using a gun. Also, if my right cartilage didn't hurt and healed quickly, could I likely expect the same from the two piercings I'll be getting in my left?
- i've never seen an industrial or any cartilage piercing done with a gun. I have an industrial and they pierce you with a hollow needle because if they don't then it just pushes the piece of cartilage out of the way and you get a little lump on your ear. honestly, you don't even have to see the needle if you don't want to. An industrial hurts to get pierced because they pierce you once, and then pierce the second hole so the blood has already rushed to your ear in the mean time. If you're really going to get it, get it on the side of your head you don't sleep on. mine healed quickly (most industrial take anywhere from 6 months to a year to fully heal) I cleaned my ear 3 sometimes 4 times a day so that really helped. Its a tough piercing and you have to be very careful with it, but i love mine and the pain was so worth it. Good Luck! Ali
- Q: its come out with a whitey liquid only a little bit but not alot, how can i stop it?
- White discharge is completely normal with unhealed piercings. You need to either be doing sea salt soaks or saline soaks to keep it clean - twice a day for ten minutes each soak. Don't use anything but that - soaps can cause build up around the piercing. Signs of infection to look out for are excessive redness extending beyond the piercing area (some redness is normal when it is healing), hot to the touch, and yellow/green pus with an odor. If it does get infected do not take it out. That can trap the infection in your body and really do some harm...with infection you just want to keep doing sea salt soaks and if it doesn't clear up within a week or two then you'd want to go to your piercer who might recommend you go to a doctor. It's not always necessary to spend the money on going to the doctor with a piercing infection.
- Q: Do you have a change in the law for scaffolding used outdoors?
- Does ... WHO have a change in the law? What law? Where are you located? Such laws are generally LOCAL, and so you'd need to check with the building officer at City Hall.
- Q: Hi there,I got a scaffold piercing done on Sunday and it's become infected (according to my doctor). I've been cleaning it, etc but I caught rather a bad cold which affected it quite badly. It's amazingly sore, swollen and getting worse day by day. My doctor told me to take it out now but also gave me some antibiotics because I said I'd rather not remove it. She said something about the swelling affecting my circulation and that I could always have it done again when I was feeling better. What should I do? Please help me.
- Take vitamin B12 and zinc and be sure to get a lot of vitamin C-- i suggest you take Emergen-C, or whatever it's called. Your doctor is VERY wrong, you never, under any circumstance, take out an infected piercing. The jewelry allows the infection to leave the piercing and if you were to take out the jewelry, the skin would trap in the infection which could lead to even worse problems and i promise the infection will get even worse. Make sure the piercing is hot to touch, very swollen, incredibly red and that the pus is green/yellow, thick and foul smelling. Swelling is normal for such a new piercing and be sure to not sleep on that side of your face for at least a month. If you just have swelling, and no other signs of infection, it's most likely not infected. You need to do salt soaks, on top of the vitamin C, B12 and zinc, 2-3 times a day for 10 minutes (but no more). The salt soaks will draw out bacteria and infections and have shown great healing results so i HIGHLY recommend you do this. A salt soak consists of 1/4 tablespoon of non-ionized sea salt + 8 oz. of hot water-- make sure the water is hot, but not hot enough to burn your skin. After you take the salt soak off, you'll notice some pus exiting the piercing (NEVER FORCE PUS OUT OF THE PIECING) and just clean it, gently, off with a wet q-tip. You can also put tea tree oil on the piercing to also help it heal and get rid of the infection. Finally, make sure you are NOT moving the jewelry-- this brings in unwanted bacteria, hurts/irritates the fistula and will only prolong healing time. These are things i highly recommend to everyone experiencing an infection and when they first get the piercing. This should really help and you should notice results. Do NOT put alcohol, peroxide, ointments, bactine, etc. on the piercing. All of these things will do much more bad to the piercing than good, so don't do it.
- Q: At the moment i have a plastic bar with metal balls, its flexible and she said she would change it between six to eight weeks!I only got my piercing 3 days ago if that and i just want to know why a long period of time to get it changed? Ive had my tongue done and she changed that within a week .. Just seems a really long time!
- The mouth is the fastest healing area of the body. Cartilage has many layers to it and because of that it takes the fistula longer to form.
- Q: its a black and white picture, in America.
- It's called Lunch atop a Skycraper and can be found doing a search in Google Images.
