Q: i have an amp with an 80a fuse i figure i shoud use a power cable with a 100a inline fuse what guagee should i use? also can i get two 8 guage wires with 50a inline fuses both to the ampthanks guys: Every body is saying the same thing You should listen to the general consensus///use a 4 gauge with a 80amp or a 100amp fuse if the amplifier does not have an internal fuse or onboard fuse, use a 80amp fuse two 8 gauge power cables will not give you the same performance as a 4 gauge power cable(they should in theory)but their is alot of science and phisics mumbo jumbo that i cant explain as good as a scientist(so just trust me on this one)
