- Q: I would like to know how exactly was the Vacuum cleaner invented, what is it's main purpose? Are there any unintended sequences from this invention? IE: Is it being used for things its not supposed to?Thank you for your opinions
- I noticed you brought that up on Patient PAws question about this. I am confused though, is it for SELLING 50 dogs, or BREEDING 50 dogs (as in 50 b*tches or a mix). WOuld you be OK with the cap on a number of dogs you can own, or not counting co-ownership (though that could mean that puppy mills would just have 100 owners of the dogs and they could be called boarding facilities) The laws already on the books are too vague and expensive to enforce, and while I will admit I don't know specifics about the laws we have it seems like capping the number of dogs is an easy way to monitor things other than specific laws about conditions that can be more easily avoided. I think that a reaonable cap is a good idea, though like you point out what is reasonable is up for discussion. How many puppies can a responsible breeder be connected to in a year? 100? 150? FInd some number less than the worst of the worst puppy mills but above the good breeders. It isn't a magic cure, just a start. I think the real answer to stopping puppy mills is for people to stop buying, but laws certainly would speed up the process. I was just thinking about all the arguments for laws with animals. People say we need to fucus on our problems but with animals the sad part is they have easy solutions! If people would only get pets they could afford and leave breeding to the people who know what they are doing, there would be no need for shelters and those resources coudld be put to work on arguably more important but much more complicated problems! I would like to see something done, I know that nothing will make this just go away but I think SOME step is necessary. And if nothing else, talking about this law is helping educate people about puppy mills, so be thankful for that part of it at least. Pets are a luxury, why do we even need to waste money on these issues!? It sickenss me that people are so irresponsible we need to be baysat like that.
- Q: Selling vacuum cleaners
- I would start sending out resumes tomorrow.
- Q: Heard this brand was good and lasts but don't feel like paying top dollar for a vacuum
- not okorder /
- Q: Every vacuum I've had has broken. Two Bissells and Eureka. Cleanview Helix, The other Bissel is the powerforce compact, and the Eureka Optima. Anyways, the rollers stop rolling, and when I try to use them now, the smell of rubber is in the air. Is this from running over cat litter, and aquarium pebbles? Yeah, I tried replacing the belts, and cutting the hair off the roller, and they just don't work anymore. It's so frustrating. Been going through this for like two years now, and we went through two vacuum cleaners, this year!Should I see about changing the filters? Could that be it? So, so frustrating!!!!!!
- Send them back to the manufacturer.
- Q: vacuum cleaners can suck a lot of stuff up so can they suck up my facial hair and my chest hair and all da hair i got?
- yes---but make sure you start with yur balls
- Q: must be taken in order to be 90% confident that the margin of error will not exceed 50 hours? Please show work
- The 90% confidence z-value from the normal probability table is 1.645 Sample size n = [ (1.645) SD /error] ^2 n = {(1.645)(400)/50]^2 n =173.18 ≈ 174
- Q: the sound comes on, but it doesn't suck anything up and the thingy underneath (dont know the technical term) doesn't turn. it's an old vacuum( a kerby). what's wrong with it. should i try to get this one fixed or just buy a new one. are there places that fix vacuum cleaners? thanks for any info.
- A Kirby is a good vacuum. It would be worth it to have it serviced, as newer vacuums just are not near as good, especially for as expensive as they are. Yes, there are shops that service and repair vacuums. I don't know where you are, but look in a yellow pages.
- Q: Is it true that jewish men hide money under their wives vacuum cleaners?
- lol... dont know
- Q: the workers at a factory assembled 156 vacuum cleaners in 6 hours. at this rate, how many total vacuum cleaners can the workers assemble in in 16 hours.
- 156 vacuums / 6 hours = 26 vacuums per hour. 16 hours * 26 vacuums per hour = 416 vacuums. Hope that helps.
- Q: I have a 2 vacuum cleaners, and I HATE them both! One works okay, but the suction on the hand tool sucks (that one is a dirt devil) and the bissell bagless I have, spills dust/dirt everywhere...I have even taken the whole thing apart and it still is dirty and leaves a mess.I have a baby and a german shepard!Which vacuum works the best for you? the pick-up?
- All bagless machines are no good. They will have good suction power, but very low airflow. You need both airflow and suction power for good cleaning. Bagless systems have to draw air through a very long series of tubes and filters, and this lowers the airflow but it increases the sealed suction. My advice would be to at least get a bagged machine. You've probably heard of dyson (they have GREAT advertising) which is a bagless, but they are not a good machine!! Try and stay away from those brands, it will be much better in the long run. If you have a baby you are probably interested in good filtration. Now, bagless machines and any vacuum from a box store will have poor filtration when comparing them to a high end vacuum cleaner. Miele's for example will bring the air parts per million to ZERO. Most bagless machines will actually raise the airborn particles beacuse even tho they are retaining alot of dirt, they are putting out some dirt in the air and so the particles in the air increases. Riccar, Sebo, Miele, Simplicity and Lindhaus are the BEST vacuums you can get. There are a couple other brands as well, but these are the main ones. Honestly a bissell or a dyson or a hoover or any of those do not compare in quality, filtration, or features. Sure they will pick up good out of the box, but that is not of great value if they don't retain the dirt, don't last longer then 5 years etc... Here are some models i would recommend. The Riccar Standar, Sebo G1 or X4 or Felix, Or the Miele Callisto. Good luck!!
