- I have had several parakeets and can tell u from experience some parakeets will bathe daily or even several times a day while others will only bathe once a week whether they think they need it or not. My females bathed daily but one male I had only took bathe once a week and sometimes not even then. Try getting a misting bottle and use luke warm water and mist her lightly while she's in her cage, she'll have a fit 1st couple of times but will tolerate it even if she never gets to liking it or else just let her bathe at her choosing.

- Q: The vacuum has a really loud noise to it. At one point I seen grease/oil on the floor while it was running. The noise sounds like it needs grease or something. I'm thinking the bearings, but that's just a guess. Please can someone help or advise of a website where I can find the quot;how to fixquot;. Dyson support was useless. They just said to send the vacuum in or bring to a repair center at my cost. My options aren't big, I live in a very small town that doesn't have many or if any repair centers. Thanks in advance for anyone that can help.
- Hi its Darran at Dyson. I am concerned that you have indicated your machine was leaking some kind of oil or grease and neither of these fluids are used in the manufacture of the DC14 or indeed any of our vacuum cleaners. If your DC14 is making a loud noise and is not running correctly, we would strongly advise you take it to a local repair centre or call the Dyson Helpline for assistance. If you are not able to take it to a repair centre, we can arrange for it to be collected and taken to one. - There is not a set price for a Kirby. The salesman pays a set price but is free to charge as much or little as he thinks he can get. They usually start asking for about $1600. They are not worth it. Neither is Rainbo. A Royal Commercial is very similar to the Kirby but in my opinion better made. And half the price. If you want a good vacuum go to a janitorial supply. Be prepared though. They still are not cheap. But Commercial will last and do a better job. I can't stand Kirby.

- i own a pool company and your better automatic pool vaccums would be either a polaris or a creepy crawly but you can get them cheaper online then in a pool store. look under pool companies
- Q: Why do people keep running over a string a dozen times with their vacuum cleaner, then reach down, pick it up, examine it, then put it down to give the vacuum one more chance?
- I fight this urge. I normally will pick it up and somehow hold it until I make a trip to dump the contents of the sweeper. But I have this urge to throw it down for the sweeper to pick up. Why I don't know.

- The noise of a vacuum does not come from the motor, but from the eddies in the air being sucked. Open a vacuum cleaner and remove the impeller (the fan) and it would get a lot more quiet.
