- Q: How old do you think is old enough to use a vacuum cleaner?
- I was putting together family vaccuums and using them in gradeschool. So anywhere around 10 years old should be fine. This is assuming your kid has some muscle though. unless the vaccuum is power driven, they might not have the heft.

- Q: He scared of vacuums, laundry baskets, chairs, dish washer, and strangers it gets so bad that he'll just sit there and shake. Like when the vacuum is on, putting the dishes in the dishwasher, and when strangers come by him
- Ok. Bring him up to the monitor. ...... Ok boy, just relax now. I'm going to get up, go in the other room and turn on my dishwasher. ... Now see, that wasn't so bad. Ok. Under the sheet behind me is a laundry basket..no, no, stay where you are, it's ok. I'm going to slowly pull off part of the sheet so you can only see part of it. .. Now a little more... ... And there it is. Wait a second boy! COME BACK!! ... ... I knew I should have taken the Chair and the Vacuum out of the basket first, may have moved too fast on that one. Times up anyway, pay my receptionist on the way out and we'll try again next week. Great progress today fella.
- Q: How electrolux differ from any other vacuum cleaner and what are the unique features?
- I love an electrolux they last a long time and they really work. But they can be heavy so if weight is a problem, go with an Oreck. But I Love the way the lux has that long vacuum head. And a reset button if something gets stuck and you have to pull it out. its great. I would`t go bag less they just seem to lose suction over time. Unless your willing to invest in a dyson.
- Q: What about the Kirby vacuum cleaners?
- What about Kirby Vacuum Cleaners? I know they're are noisy, and grossly over priced. You can talk the salesman down to around $600.00. Check first to see if the salesperson is driving a cadillac Escalade. Also, the sales people prey on old people, and will not leave the home until the unit is sold.
- Q: best vacuum cleaners?
- Oh boy, open a can of worms. Kirby lovers swear by theirs, Miele swear they are the best, Dyson lovers, ditto. Consumer Reports does not like any of those three. The Sears one (which one I don't remember) got good reviews. I've had an Oreck, it was OK for quick jobs, but dog hair did a number on the brushes and in turn tore the rubber belt. I got real good at replacing them. Eventually the machine fell apart as I was cleaning dog hair so frequently. I have a Rainbow which I like for baseboards, walls, etc and some carpet cleaning. However, my new Dyson does outdo the Rainbow on the carpet but I hate it for walls, area rugs, etc. (it is super powerful but awkward) The Dyson clogs with dog hair and their instructions aren't real good about finding the clog......it wasn't where it said it was but when I discovered where it was and super easy to access, Dyson 28 is back to being a good friend.......for awhile.
- Q: I hear great things about there products but don't the cost something like $500. who owns one and do you like it?
- In my opinion, no. You don't have to spend that kind of money to get a good quality vacuum cleaner. I own a Hoover, have had it for 17 years, have never had any trouble with it, and it works like a charm. I've heard a lot of bad things about Dyson, including the lack of customer service. If you want a 'premium' vacuum cleaner, Oreck is very good quality and the company stands behind its exceptionally good warranty.
- Q: does anyone own a refurbished Dyson vacuum cleaner? do they work well or break down within months?
