With the development of the demand of telecommunication, the requirement of optical cable in some kinds of industries like multimedia, internet and videoconference which need high transmission speed makes optical cable become the basic media of transmission. We use the normal and nonzero dispersion single mode optical fiber for the optical cables to run the transmission mode like SDH/SONET,ATM and the transmission system like WDM, DWDM efficiently. The excellent design of the twist-layer structure for the loose tube and the material with good quality provide the overall protection of our optical fiber to resistant the terrible whether and environment. |
The structure of GYDXTS (outdoor optical cables used for telecommunication with
metallic central strength, optical fiber belt central tube filling style, and steel- polyethylene
cover) is covering the inner-fulfilled waterproof compound loose tube, which is made of high modulus plastic, with the
single mode optical fiber. The thin round shape steel wire will be used as a strength devise
armored outside the loose tube. The steel-PE cover will become the optical cable.
- Q: i have a lightning audio amp, it was wokring a few months ago when i pulled it out of my car, i tried yesterday to see if it worked, it turned one for 5 seconds and went into protection mode, so i tested it with the battery and it did the same, and the cables got hot, and help please
- Having the alarm put in should not affect your amp, I hate taking my car somewhere thinking someone might play with, and maybe break my toys. But yes they were right always sand the ground spot till its nice and shiny but I cant see a week ground tripping the protection light. Try unhooking the power wire and run a temperary one from the amp to the battery to see if your power wire might be the culprit by wearing and posibly lightly shorting against metal. The power wire is the most likely to be the guilty party if everything bench tested good (also relace the fuse at the battery they can become defective without breaking I had that happen before) Good luck.
- Q: I found some cable online that I can use, but haven't had any experience with any of this.
- Hi Ian: That cable you refered to is called Siamese cable meaning it's RG-59 coax + an outer power cable twinned to it (as a single run) for powering a remote camera. If that's the purpose for the coax you need (or you are wanting to wire a car backup camera with power and video signal, for example) then this is the correct cable to use. However, if you just want to run a video, antenna, or cable-box signal, and don't need the power cable feature, this particular brand of cable is a waste of money. Feel free to use the Additional Details link to post an Update to the discussion, and I or another Y!A Contributor can give you more info on the topic of what your application is for the coax cable. hope this helps, --Dennis C.
- Q: i have a ASUS M4A87TD-USB3 mobo and a Corsair 550 Watts Power Supply. Ive looked in the manual andit says you need to connect the one that ive connected and a 4 pin. It says that if you dont connect the 4 pin the computer wont boot! is there a way around this or it f**ked?
- Just replace the power supply. What's the problem? You have an OLD ATX powersupply with 20-pins. The NEWER ATX power supply is 20+4 pins. --- Kasey C, PC guru since Apple II days Make it idiot proof and someone will make a better idiot.
- Q: I'm building another computer to give to someone, i have all the parts and when it got down to installing the CD drive and the Hard drive i plugged the sata cables into the motherboard but when i looked to install them to the power supply mine did not have any of those cables. I had spare cables from my other power supply but they require you to plug them into the power supply but since the other power supply is older it doesn't work. I was wondering if i could get cables that plug into the extra connectors then to the CD drive/ Hard drive instead of plugging them into the power supply then the CD drive/ Hard drive.
- There's 2 types of power connectors, old style 4-pin Molex and Sata power. Adapters are pretty cheap, just check Monoprice.
- Q: I ordered this recently only to find that it was just the HDD, no cords whatsoever. I've never had to buy cables for an HDD before, and I'm especially not used to SATA (I didn't make the jump from IDE to SATA until this year.)
- You will need to buy a data transfer cable to connect to the hard drive at one end and onto your motherboard at the other end to carry data to and from the hard drive to your computer. The cable is simply called a SATA cable and they are about 18 inches long or so. They are usually either red, orange, blue or yellow in colour and they are about half an inch wide or so. You can buy them from your local computer store for about $ 4.00 or so Canadian. They do however come with your motherboard (you usually get two of them included in the box when you buy it). For the power end of it you will need to find an empty non-connected Molex connector coming from your power supply unit in the computer. Just simply connect this Molex power supply cable to the hard drive at the back of it where indicated. That is all there is to it. Good luck
- Q: i wanted to know if the 1 tera hdd came with a power cord. or are the any that dont come with one. if so could you give me the websites or stores were their being sold(store preferred).thank you
- They should. I mean it would be dumb if they did not. But radio shacks or office depot type places. Like electronic stores or office stores. Online would be the best place. Just type the type of power cord your looking for on OKorder and I know for a fact you will find one. Good luck
- Q: Copper and Aluminum are being considered for the cables in a high-voltage transmission line where each must carry a current of 50A. The resistance of each cable is to be .15ohms per kilometer.A. If the line carries power from Niagra Falls to New York (500Km), mow much power is lost along the way in the cable? Compute for each choice of cable materialB. the necessary cable diameterC. mass per meter of cable Please correct if you see anything that may be offSolving for part a:Power = I deltaV, since deltaV was not given IR=deltaVso Power = (I^2)R = 50^2 x 75 = 187.5 kW lt;-- answerR= 75 since R= .15 ohms/ km x 500kmB) resistivity of copper = 1.7 x 10^-8 ohm m resistivity of al = 2.82 x 10^-8 ohm m R = (resistivity x length)/Areawhat do i use for R? is it the 0.15 ohm/km or 75 ohm?using the 75 ohm as R, I get that the radius of the copper wire is 0.0000361 m and the diameter is then 0.0000722.Am i on the right track?
- I think you went wrong with the length. If R= (resistivity x length)/Area, make sure you are using length as 500,000m as the units should be in meters, not km. R is going to be 75 ohms because you are considering the entire length. Then solve for area and radius.
- Q: i have a cable modem that i lost the power cord to. i found another that fits but the output listed on the adapter is 12.5vdc. the modem lists +12vdc. can I use them together? i plugged it in and it lit up for a while but then went out but I don't really know how the modem is supposed to work if there's no internet connected to it.
- first! are you sure the modem needs 12 V DC and not 12 V AC? Mine uses AC. OK, you can use a 12.5V in a 12V modem - the extra .5V is not a problem... Next, make sure the polarity is correct!! center pin is the correct polarity? If not, POOF! You will let the smoke out. Have you considered that the modem is bad and the power supply is not the problem here. If the modem is bad, you may have killed the supply you plugged in.
- Q: Question says it all.
- You wont see any problem as far as the cable is concerned, as each device deteremines it's own resistance, and which will result in a specific amperage being drawn from the system (constant voltage), so no need to worry about that. The one issue you will want to address is making sure you reduce your fuse amperage. You want your fuses to be rated just over what you system should normally draw. Any more and your system might be damaged if it ever experiences a short, as your fuse might not respond as quickly as one with the correct rating. (There are several other reasons to use the correct fuse, but you get the idea, it's just safer and smarter) I'm assuming you are refering to 1200w Max power when referring to cable, which would probably be something like an 8Guage, hich probably has a 40Amp fuse, which is a pretty solid choice for a system under 500w (assuming you are referring again to max, not rms). You might want to swap it out for a 30 amp, thought, just to be on the safe side. If you are reffering to 1200w rms, then you have a 1 guage or so cable, and you probably have anywhere from 80-150 amp fuse using either Maxi or ANL fuses. If this is the case, that's fine, just make sure you switch out those fuses for the lowest ones you can get. I beleive ANL start at 100amps, but I think you can get maxi's as low as 60 amps. (Anything you need can be gotten at BestBuy, Circuit, or any local audio shops)
- Q: I tried looking up the the model # and a couple of sites that would sell it but cant find any. Also the player is like 2 years old so hard to find anything about it.
- 9v is what's called the 'nominal' value, or typical value. Input voltage can dip as much as 20% which would drop 9v down to 7.2v, but is still enough to operate. (If you only supplied a nominal 7.2v, and line voltage dipped 20%, you'd be left with only 5.8v trying to operate a 7.2v system. Not enough.) Basically, every electronic device contains a voltage regulator. Anything more than the minimum is shunted away, but if the input drops, then there is still enough to maintain the minimum voltage necessary to run. But you still need a nominal value higher than the minimum to make sure there's always plenty, no matter what happens.
