| The structure of GYDXTZW (outdoor optical cable used for telecommunication with metallic central strength, optical fiber belt central tube layer-stranded style, steel-PE cover with steel wire) is covering the inner-fulfilled waterproof compound loose tube, which is made of high modulus plastic, with the single mode optical fiber. The waterproof belt and steel belt covered vertically out of the loose tube, two parallel steel wire on the both sides of the cable core are be used as the strengthen part to retard the flame and become the optical cable. The Fiber can be used in all cable constructions, especially tight buffered cable which is the key of Fiber-To-The-Home and Fiber-To-The-Mansion. |
- Q:The cylinder is in the power cable about 2 inches from the connection to the laptop and is about one half inch diameter by one inch long. Does it serve an electronic function or is it just a mechanical assist device?
- It's called a choke. It's used to filter out unwanted radio interference.
- Q:I bought this printer recently, and it only came with a USB cable, and when i plug it into my computer, it won't turn on. Is there a power cable that's supposed to come with it?
- Yes, okorder using the Service Tag on the printer. Call them, email them, or chat over the internet with their tech support.
- Q:I am installing a sound system in my car straight from scratch. I have built the subwoofer enclosure but now I have run into a problem. The existing amplifier power cable is too short to reach my amp. I was wondering if any other cable could be used as a substitute to extend it just a few more inches or do I need to buy a whole new amp kit? Thanks
- You can get 12 gauge stranded wire in any length you want from Lowes or Home Depot. That will do fine for amplifiers requiring a 20 amp fuse. If you do splice the wires, then solder them and wrap them up with tape. Crimps will work OK for a few years but are not permanent.
- Q:Hey guysWhen I put in my power cable, I can turn on my laptop, but as soon as I take it off, it shuts off. Why isn't it charging it ?Thanks alot in advance
- Your laptop hates you
- Q:I am trying to install a dc power outlet and it says i need to connect to the direct power cable. How do I find it?
- Run it to battery as others have said. Just be sure to put an inline fuse in line just in case wire shorts out or something. 20 amp max.
- Q:Hey, my parents just bought me a turntable and I have no idea where one of the cables would go into a normal stereo or what I might need to buy to be able to plug it to a normal modern stereo.
- That's the power cable, you'll have to look on the turntable it's self to see what the voltage is. Maybe some were standard 110 volt (220 in Europe), but usually they are lower, something like 24 volts or 48 volts. Those were pretty common in the 1980s when complete component stereos were commonly sold much like 'Home Theater Speakers In A Box' are today. The amplifier plugged into the wall everything else like the cassette deck, radio tuner turntable plugged into the back of the amp using those low voltage cables. There were some advantages to this system. The obvious ones being you only had one 110 volt electric cord you could turn on the stereo with the touch of one button. But it also made the system use less of your home's electrical power. Since the only component that needs a lot of power is the amplifier, you could use lower voltage transformers for the other components. Which I suspect are smaller, run cooler, or both. They might even have less noise interference than 110 volt transformers. (Perhaps someone who knows how electronics circuits work can enlighten us on what the actual advantages are.) I also suspect it saved on the cost of building the stereo systems. If the turntable uses 110 volts, it should be pretty easy to have someone convert the turntable to have a standard power cord on it. If the turnable uses a lower voltage, it probably wouldn't be cost efficient enough to make the conversion unless you knew enough about electronics to do it yourself. And you may want to look for the amplifier or receiver that the turntable is compatible with, on OKorder or Craig's List.
- Q:I'm running a 3ghz ecs p965t with 2gb of RAM, and I'm trying to install an XFX 8800GT. First time I tried it, it didn't power on at all, and I figured it might be the power supply (mine was a 350w) so I tried a friend's 450w, still no power. So I went out and bought a 500w, and STILL no power. Wierder still, if I leave the card plugged into the board but don't plug in the power connector, it makes a long high-pitched wailing sound but the system does power itself.I'm assuming it must be a problem with the card itself, but does anyone have any other possibilities I could try before negotiating a replacement in PC World?
- I think its the card. This is not uncommon. Card sounds DOA. Exchange it. 500 watts is good, the others are not, but lack of power would not kill a card, I don't believe. good luck. 8800GT is a sweet card, thats what I have, I play at 1920x1080 and get between 40 and 60 FPS in far cry 2 and great frames in oblivion maxed out. I get around 30 in crysis on high.
- Q:Hey guysA 6mm power cable can hold up to 25A, but, if a product draws a maximum of 4A, in theory, can this 6mm be reduced? If so, by approx how much?Cheers, much appreciated!! :)
- Your wire has to be matched to the circuit breaker. If you have a 15 amp breaker you need #14 wire. Otherwise you could overload the wire and burn it out and the CB wouldn't blow.
- Q:I've got a 1967 Sears-Kenmore sewing machine with a power cable that a cat chewed through (previous owner). The damage is near the end of the cable and the copper wires are showing. I shopped around and found a replacement pedal/powersupply but I really like the antique pedal I have with it. Thank you in advance.
- Split the power cable... Skin the insulation back on the individual wires..Keep track of the colors.... Split one side far enough back to put pieces of shrink tubing on the individual wires...put the approcate wires in an insulated butt splicer....crimp the splicers...Heat shrink the tubing...Then tape the individual leads with 3M-130c rubber tape ..Then put about 2-3 layers of 3M 88 tape on top of the rubber tape....It will last as long as you will Have A Good Day
- Q:what is this cable called I can't find it anywhere because i don't know what it's called if anyone knows anything about it or who sells it please explain. Thanks
- If this is what you're referring to, it's called a Y Power cable since it splits power to two sources using the same interface. If you're needing just two of the normal power cables, well that's different... Literally, they're called PC Power Cables. Kind of generic.
