Q: Or better yet is there a 100' snake with phantom power? Can't seem to find anything online.: You should be able to push power through a 100' cable. A mic doesn't draw much current so wire size shouldn't be an issue.

Q: i just bought a cobra radar detector and im a bit of a perfectionist. it bothers me that the power supply cable drags from the windshield across the head unit and into the cigarette lighter. i need ideas on how to hook up the detector because it needs to be plugged in to work but not have the cord out in the open. thanks: Mount the detector on your sunvisor. Run the power cord fromt eh detector under the edge of the headliner and down the A-pillar next to the windshield (you should be able to remove the plastic over the A-pillar and run the cord behind it.) Cut the cigarette lighter plug off and wire it into the fuse panel to a switched 12v source (something that comes on when the car is cranked)(radio, etc). That will allow the radar detector to power on when the car is cranked and to power off when the car is stopped. I wired all of mine like this and never had any problems with any of them.

Q: The green light on the back of the power supply comes on when the power cable is plugged. also, every time i plug in the power cable, the fan on the power supply wants to spin, but it stops.
