Q: Yo, i am a proud owner of a 1997 Jeep Wrangler. I was wondering if it is possible to tint the plastic windows using a self tint kit found at an auto store. Ive been looking for the answer online and can only find tutorials on how to use the tint on regular glass car windows. Someone please help me out before i buy the tint and try it myself and end up ruining my windows. thanks: All other standard polyester films will fail on lastic because of out gassing of the plastic.

The reclying companies love those little windows they give body to recycled cardboard and toilet paper !: Just tear off the window including the paper backing it's glued to , throw the window away, recycle the rest of the envelope! Your still recycling 95% of the envelope and cutting waste as well!

Q: a$$hole, right? and what are they officially called, so i can look them up?: confident you may... yet do not. it is going to take you a minimum of three tries to get it to look halfways good and except you will get actual each and every bubble out and each factor suited, it is going to peel off finally do to the flex of the backside window. in simple terms my 2 cents, regardless of if it won't seem the way you like it to.

Q: they are white and look dingy: I have used a product called GOO Gone to remove the sticky residue left over from the plastic overlayment. I agree with the lady above have used Mean Green a lot and does a wonderful job . I have never used it on window, but have used it on patio furniture and on greases clothes. My Grandma also swear by vinegar and newspaper to clean a window to a perfect shine. After using Mean Green you will probably have to use something like Windex to get rid of the strike. Thanks!: No due to plastic and glass in combination will over heat and melt. You can ask the car dealership or use paper wrapping over windows such as a moon or sun roof rather than plastic to glass.

Q: If I do weather stripping and seal the windows with plastic, is that better than doing just one, or redundant?: The plastic window kits that shrink (via a hairdryer) work well. No need to weatherstrip them as well.

Q: So I drunkenly put my elbow through my friend's passenger window in his jeep wrangler..he's pissed and is demanding $200 for its replacement or he's pressing charges. Yeah, nice friend. 200 dollars sounds like an astronomical amount for a piece of plastic that zips onto your car. Am I getting ripped off?: You're not getting ripped off... those things are surprisingly expensive.

Q: I have got a lot of paint on my UPVC window frames want to use white spirit to get it off. Will any harm come to my window frames?: It should be fine, it is stored in plastic containers.
