- Q: The back window on my convertible got a hole put in it last winter, since then I've just been using tape to keep it together. I have a new plastic window complete with trim that will make a suitable replacement, I just need to know what kind of adhesive and how to apply it so that it stays put when the top is up and folds accordingly when the top goes down. I'd like to remove the old back window as well.

- Tyvek. it's random-laid, non-woven, almost impossible to tear, though you can cut it easily with a scissors or knife. If we could erase it easily, it would be a very good paper substitute.

- problematic water stains are hassle-loose in city water structures . I somewhat have stumbled on in case you wash your vehicle in a degreaser, then dry with a drying fabrics like an Absorber . thoroughly do away with the water out of your living house abode windows and physique. Then use a cleanser wax in liquid style like mothers, or black ice. this eliminates the inital hardwater stain ,then use a carnuba wax like mothers or black ice. basically do small aspects of the vehicle at a time like 0.5 the hood or fender as dried wax is greater stable to do away with.the carnuba wax seals the paint from contamints and provides you an superb shine . now for the living house abode windows use a foaming window cleanser like invisable glass as this is composed of amonia and is danger-unfastened for tint.

- It's a 92 Metro. Use duct tape. no Check with auto glass places. They will be expensive but it may be the only place to find it. Or try J.C. Whitney.

- Are you aware that bullet proofed platics are more expensive than normal glass. And they are unbreakable, not like glass where you splintered them and cut your hands on it and bleed, ...... and of course, unless its bulletproofed, explosioned-proofed, splintered proofed and whatever proofed, glass or plastic, its purely econs, heard of recycled plastics ( hydrocarbons and moles.......molecular structure, la ) and recycled glass ( silicon, calcium etc....)? Yours is .....not to wonder but know!
- Q: If I do weather stripping and seal the windows with plastic, is that better than doing just one, or redundant?
- The plastic window kits that shrink (via a hairdryer) work well. No need to weatherstrip them as well.
- Q: rail that holds window fell, i took apart and see thta two lil plastic white bushings was broken. but cant seem to find it online or at parts store... there really aint many junk yards around here. do i really have to buy a whole door kit to get this fixed????
- you can order the parts separate from a dealer,that's the best place to get those at,they don't cost but a few bucks,and are well worth it,good luck.
- Q: I have a 1994 convertible with a plastic rear window, and it has 13 years of dirtiness on that thing. There is a bunch of ugly what I presume are scratches all across teh middle (probably from the folding process).Also, there are little almost transparent white circles (you have to see them from an angle though)... that are also really annoying.Can you identify what those circles are??I've tried meguire's plastx polish...and even some white vinegar distilled in water.Currently, im looking for a more aggressive product.
- Each top is different Mazda Miata for example you can replace just the plastic window. Quit messing around go to the trim shop and have another top put on or a new window sewn in. Trust me that is the only way and when you fold place a towel on the window both sides to protect it from wrinkles and scratches. Convertable tops are good for about 3 to 4 years then the plastic becomes brittle.
