Steps of PVC UPVC Casement Window and Door construction:
Aluminum or PVC (UPVC) window is being made from Aluminum or UPVC profile, window accessories and glass.
To produce an Aluminum or PVC window you have to do the following steps:
Cut the profiles (Aluminum or uPVC Profile, reinforcement and Glazing bead)
Put reinforcement profile inside the uPVC profiles
Screw reinforcement profile into PVC profile
End mill the mullions
Open holes for door handles, sash fastener channels and espagnolette
Weld uPVC profile or Crimping Aluminum profile
Clean the welded corners of uPVC windows

- You'll just need to find another way to mount the AC, like attaching a bracket to the wall instead of the window frame. Make sure you screw into the studs and not just the sheetrock.

I have been tearing the plastic windows out of envelopes (you know the kind you get from businesses) before sticking them into the paper bin. Do I even have to do this? And if I do, can I put the plastic window part I rip out into the plastic recycling bin?
- You don't have to do this, but it will be easier for the city recycling center to recycle it. Yes, you can put the plastic window part into the plastic recycling bin. :D

- There are several types of tops used, and there is no way to guarantee of what replacement window will fit unless you know for sure who made it! Some times the makers name is on the top, however to find out you have to take the top a part. Next thing you need to know is that the labor is just as much for a window replacement as it is for a new top. Another thing to think about is that many times a complete top is less then 100 dollars more then just the replacement window. That is why I just replace the complete top my self, and use what I would have paid someone else to do the job to buy new cables and a rain rail. The first link is to directions on how one person did the job, I have read three different methods. However because of how the top was put on by the last person to do the job none of the worked exactly as published. The second link is to a site that has replacement windows, there are others out there. Note the one there is for the Robins Top, if it is factory or any other makers top, it will not fit. Replacement tops start at about 150 dollars and go on up. I have bought mine from Dave on OKorder. He used to carry a three window model and that was what I bought. I like his service and price. Lots of car detailers use it to clean plastic windows on convertibles and Jeeps. Find it at any motorcycle dealer. Use with a clean microfiber cloth.
