with a long duration of fire resistance, it can cut off fire source and slow down the fire propagation to save more time for rescue.
with the strong heat insulation and smoke proof, it can prevent smoke diffusing in case that poisonous gas causes sudden death.
having a good tolerance of long term striking, it can take the strike of fire hydrant.
with low rate of hot deformation, it is easy to open for escape from fire or to shut off the smoke and waiting for rescue
- Q:That plastic material on windowed envelopes, anyone know what type of plastic it is or polymer?
- Hi, . . . The brittle plastic Windows are cellulose . . . . . . The others are in PVC . . .
- Q:I saw an online video that we can go to our local home depot etc and buy kits where we use a blow drying and put plastic on the inside of our windows. How much does this really help in saving on energy costs for those of you who know this kind of stuff. I am on a very limited budget, so I am looking at those,
- anything that will add another layer of protection, is going to save you dollars and give you comfort
- Q:So we just moved into an old home that is notorious for being difficult to keep warm in the winter. The previous tenants had plastic on the windows to keep the cold out. Well, its July here and keeping the cold out is no longer a concern. The plastic looks terrible and if its not serving a purpose, I'd like to take it down for the summer and fall season. So, is the plastic keeping the heat out right now? Does it serve a purpose?
- rip it off - the best thing in the winter - is styrofoam covering windows - its 1/2 inch or thicker - insulates way much better - with plastic over the styrofoam - teeth cold - summer - take them off - reinstall for winter - and for an extra bonus - the home invader wont see whats coming to his face breaking in - TACTICAL ADVANTAGE AND A GOOD ONE - yes take down the plastic - too hot in summer
- Q:i got mad and threw something a my widow and one panel broke so how do i reinforce that otherpanel
- I have repaired CRACKED window panes. It's important that none of the glass fell out, AND that all the cracked edges fit to each other tightly, AND are flush with each other. When all the pieces are flush [flat to each other, and in the same 'plane'] I VERY GENTLY AND CAREFULLY squeeze Super Glue ONLY INTO the cracks. IF one is very careful, surface tension 'draws' [sucks] the glue into the crack without leaving any excess on the glass surfaces to mar the appearance, AND if done properly, when cured, the glue 'disappears,' and the crack almost disappears. The Super Glue not only 'hides' the crack, but it also reinforces and waterproofs the joint. I do not know how long this 'fix' will last because the Ultraviolet in sunlight MIGHT degrade the glue, but if it should, one could always just 'run another bead' of glue.
- Q:State why plastic window frames need no painting or maintence?????
- because they are plastic. wow, that should be obvious. .
- Q:...even when washing it? And I live in San Diego, not like in TX where the cling probably would bake into the window. But the windows are tinted, so it would have to be on the outside. The cling is about 6quot; in diameter.
- I would think it may stick, but it would probably fall off due to the bumpiness of driving, plus when you wash it, it will make it fall off. If your windows are tinted, I wouldn't even mess with it because it may cause a discoloration, but I am not positive. I hope this helps you some! Btw, I love window clings too! :)
- Q:I bought a halloween plastic poster of a black cat for a window and it ended up melting to the window, I took as much as I could off but there's quite a it left and the ink also left behind..put rubbing alcohol on it and tried scraping..not the best solution there. Thanks for any easier solutions you may have!
- Best way it to use window scraper (used to remove paint from window) try using a hair dryer to warm the plastic first this will help it come off cleanly and make it easier
- Q:The back window on my convertible got a hole put in it last winter, since then I've just been using tape to keep it together. I have a new plastic window complete with trim that will make a suitable replacement, I just need to know what kind of adhesive and how to apply it so that it stays put when the top is up and folds accordingly when the top goes down. I'd like to remove the old back window as well.
- Either have it sewn in or get rid of the car. It will look like crap if you attempt to glue it in place.
- Q:where to find plastic covering for basement windows?
- local hardware stores should have it
- Q:I am talking about the stuff you tape to the inside of your home windows and use a hair dryer to stretch it tight. It is supposed to keep single pane windows better at keeping in the heat. I live where it gets 30 degrees at night and 40-50 during the day in winter. Does anyone have experience with these products? Which type works best? Mainly, does it really keep heat in? OR does it keep sunlight heat out and balance out to zero help?
- Yes, this stuff does work, and I don't think there is much of a difference between the various brands; though some are easier to work with than others. You could also try caulking cord. I discovered this stuff at Home Depot and it works really well, too. You put it over all gaps in the window and frame and smooth it down with your fingers.
