- Q: i just bought a cobra radar detector and im a bit of a perfectionist. it bothers me that the power supply cable drags from the windshield across the head unit and into the cigarette lighter. i need ideas on how to hook up the detector because it needs to be plugged in to work but not have the cord out in the open. thanks
- Mount the detector on your sunvisor. Run the power cord fromt eh detector under the edge of the headliner and down the A-pillar next to the windshield (you should be able to remove the plastic over the A-pillar and run the cord behind it.) Cut the cigarette lighter plug off and wire it into the fuse panel to a switched 12v source (something that comes on when the car is cranked)(radio, etc). That will allow the radar detector to power on when the car is cranked and to power off when the car is stopped. I wired all of mine like this and never had any problems with any of them.
- Q: Can I do the big 3 upgrade by only doing the 2 ground cables(battery to chassis and engine block to chassis) now and doing the power to the alternator at another time? Will this give me a little performance boost until I can get enough material?

- Yes, so long as it isn't thin wire like as thin as the A/V Cable almost. But yes, any Monitor/PC Cord will work.

- It's called a choke. It's used to filter out unwanted radio interference.

- You could use trunking for the cables, and for the control boxes if they are in the house you could hide them under a box which you could decorate to look like a parcel...personally I would paint it, but drill some holes for ventilation.
- Q: I have a 2003 Honda Accord. I'm trying to put an amp and sub in it. My problem is, I'm not sure how to get the power cable from the batter to the inside of the car. I know it needs to go through the firewall, but I need to know exactly where. I couldn't find any unoccupied holes. I also need to know where the other side of the hole will be so that I can grab the wire from the other side. Pictures would be really great if you have them.
- completely authentic, i found out as quickly as I left domicile for greater then in basic terms a month or 2.. there is truly no such place that would make you experience like domicile different than your place of birth or usa.

- Well I don't know of any extension chord that could replace this fairly crucial component . I think you should look for another one with a friend that maybe has a broken xbox or an old pc.. You might find the piece you're looking for on another machine like a computer or a printer . Look around and see , good luck ;)
- Q: Whenever I unplug the power cable, the laptop starts to lag, bad, and yes I do have a fully charged battery. This has been happening ever since I got the thing, and no it has nothing to do with the battery, and no matter how many times I re-plug the cable and take it out again, or just leave it in, it continues to lag. The only time it stops is when I reboot, at least until I unplug it again. Also, it has nothing to do with the performance battery plan. Any ideas? This is really annoying.
- Do you mean lag as in a slow OS. Well- Where is your SPEEDSTEP set at in your BIOS? You may have 3 or 2 settings which ARE affected when your Cable Power is removed it will go to a Bit Slower Processor Speed to prolong the battery. If after you change the settings in BIOS and it does this again, its likely need to be sent back for repair under Warranty as this is NOT Normal...
