Q: I was just wondering because I need a new power supply for my computer. It is an Acer Aspire AM3910-U4012. Is the power cable that connects to the motherboard the only power cable I need to replace or will I need to replace all the cables in my computer for it to work properly?
It will come with All New Cables
Q: Suppose load is 100KW, length 50m, how to calculate cable size. If we know current Is any easy mathod to calculate cable size.
There are two issues to consider, cable heating and voltage drop. Of the two, voltage drop is by far the easiest. You need to determine what the allowable voltage drop in you cable is. The voltage drop is just I x R where I is the current and R is teh round trip cable resistance. The specification of 100 kW isn't enough. If its a high tension 100 kV line, the current is only 1 amp and a run of 16 AWG wire would deliver about 99,999 volts out of the original 100,000 volts to your load. If its a 100 volt system then a 4 AWG wire would only deliver only 20 volts to the load. The formula for wire resistance (in AWG) is that 10 AWG has 0.001 ohm/ft. Each increase of 1 in the gauge increases resistance by the cube root of 2 (about 25%). You calculate by picking what voltage drop you can live with, for the known current figure the resistance, knowing the length figure the resistance per foot, and then pick the AWG using the above. The second concern is wire heating. Although you could do the heat transfer calculations, instead look up the allowable ampacity for any wire in an electrical engineers or NEC handbook.
Q: Basically, I lost my power adapter to my monitor, and to be honest, I would like to try to avoid buying a new one entirely. I have an old HP laptop power cord that fits into my monitor, but the power specifications on it are different. The power rating on my monitor is 19V and 1.58A. I'm just assuming that's what it needs to run, and that you shouldn't go over that. My power supply from my old laptop converts standard AC into DC at 18.5V, which I'm assuming the difference in voltage between 19 and 18.5 won't really affect anything, but the amperage on my power supply is close to twice as high, at 3.5A output. That's where my concern is, if I where to plug this into my monitor would anything bad potentially come out of it? Don't comment saying quot;Oh, just buy a new one.quot;, I've stated I want to try and avoid that. Thanks in advance.
For one, the polarity might be opposite--you never know about HP computer stuff. And the size of the pin and hole in some connectors are different. As far as the amperage, I suppose it could be safe, as the monitor will only draw what it needs from the power brick. Higher capacity is better than not enough. Give it a try, but stand back! After all, you are willing to take a chance instead of paying money for a new proper cord and supply. That is what gambling is all about!
Q: I have a feeling my power quot;brickis faulty and need to find a replacement, hopwever, none of the high street retailers quot;Game, Gamestation, HMV, Argosseem to stock them.
u can contact microsoft talk to them on teh phone for 5-10mins and theyll giv u a free one
Q: So I'm trying to add a sata hard drive from an older computer in my new one, but I encountered a problem. I have the cable the connects to the motherboard and the hard drive, but when looking at the power connectors for the hard drives, there is only one and it is connected to the main hard drive. Am I missing something that is slapping me in the face here, or is this a design flaw? there are 6 hard drive holders sooooo, it seems that there should be 6 power cords inside, but no. Only one. What do I do?
Your chasis ia able to hold 6 hard disk but seems like your power supply does not. You can buy a cable splitter for the power or buy a new power supply. Do take note of the wattage rating on your power supply. Since there is only 1 cable, it may not have enough wattage to support the hardware
Q: At the end of every work day I shut it down in the normal way (through the Start Menu) and then every morning I return to it and it won't turn on no matter how many times I press the on button or if I hold it down. The only way I can get the computer to turn back on is to remove the power cable for 10 minutes and then put it back in and hold the on button for about 10 seconds. This is a bit of a pain but also quite worrying as the computer is new.I wonder if my computer is broken or if this is an intentional feature. If so how do I turn it off?It might help to know that even when I have shut it down there is an LED on the back that stays on. In fact it stays on for 5 minutes even if I take the power cable out!I have a Dell Vostro 260S PC. It runs Windows 7 64-bit and the processor is an Intel i3Please help techies.
It really sounds like a hardware problem, you shouldn't have to unplug from the power supply and plug it back in after ten minutes to get the pc to power on, swap out the power supply and the power cable that hooks to it , also make sure the power cable 24pin cable is in the motherboad good and tight and the option cable 4-8 pin is hook to the motherboard a connector above the cpu if the motherboard has one.
Q: And twisted pair cable parallel to the laying of the same route with 10kVA 380V power cable, the minimum spacing between the two cables should be how much? Knowledge related to integrated wiring. The The The The
What is the current good computer configuration on the market? The price of 4000 yuan or so no more than 4000 assembly parts to write down the price Thank you.
Q: I need to change a cable that goes from public power lines to power meter because its skin/protecting shield is peeling off. What happens is that I need to fix this issue as soon as possible but do not know what kind of cable should be used for repair. I would greatly appreciate your help. Thank you!
What did the electrician say? This is not exactly a DIY project, because it requires inspection and possibly permits. You cannot connect this yourself. The size if the wire is related to the material, distance, and power. It may also be related to local practices. The old 60 amp service entrance is illegal, so you may have to upgrade to 200 amp which would be way different for wire size. An electrician will know the codes relevant to your situation. You can probably get the wire at a home improvement or electrical supply house but the electrician will have to make the connections. Plus, it keeps you from frying yourself or the electric company from pulling the plug.
Q: i wanna know cause i dont got the power cable for the ps1
