I've stayed with them during colder weather and the house was very comfortable. They've lived there for 3 years and say the utility costs are minimal. Installed properly, you should never have to tear up the tile floors either. It's simply continuous tubing embedded in the cement floor or sub floor. In my Texas home I do not have radiant heat, but I do have a circulating pump on my water heater. My bathroom floor is noticeably more comfortable during winter months. It really depends on what region you live, but in colder climates I would seriously investigate it as a viable heating system.

Q: I have been cleaning my laminate flooring with some cleaner just for laminate flooring and my floor keeps looking duller and duller with each cleaning. It is a new floor and I want it to look great not dull and old looking. Any suggestions?: I know the feeling! Everything you do makes them look worse : ( . Here is what I did; Take a long cup/glass and fill with about half a cup of baking soda, and fill the rest of the cup/glass with white vinegar and let it fizz over : D take a wash cloth and scrub. Repeat until you have the entire floor done. After that, simply you a wet towel to wipe up the baking soda residue off the floor. Hope it helped. NOTE: THE VINEGAR IS WHAT CLEANS THE FLOOR, THE BAKING SODA IS TO REMOVE SCUFF MARKS AND OTHER HARD SPOTS.

Q: I have laminate floors and someone told me to use swifter wet jet but it kind of leaves streaks so I would like something that leaves my floors nice and shiny. Any suggestions?: Mix about 1/4 cup of white vinegar in a quart of water. Spray the floor and/or use a mop that is damp-not wet. This will help the floor stay shiny.

Q: I want to buy a steam mop to clean my laminate floors, but am afraid that the moisture may hurt the laminate. Please advice, thank you: All floors that use steam mops must be sealed. When in doubt don't do it.

Q: Looking for a green safe way to lay carpet onto of the basement floor with pading. Existing Carpet was glued down. I have a new born baby and the basement didn't get finished before she was born. I feel it is unsafe now to lay the carpet now. but if they don't us glue is their a way to staple into concret floor.: If you use carpet tiles......you wont have to glue them down. They are much more inexpensive as well and you can make a pattern with them or have multiple colors. Check it out.

Q: Would you like to be able to shop with stone flooring?: Stone floor is PVC sheet flooring, so from the material point of view, it is closer to the tiles, single from the thermal performance point of view, but it is slightly worse than the composite floor, as to whether it is suitable for heating, from the following two aspects Analysis: 1.
