Q: What is the difference between wires and cables? Please provide a brief introduction
If you are in a small city or town, go to some of the aluminum core series of cable (if you are in a small city or town), if you are in a big city, ask high, with copper core BV, BVVB, RV, VV series line Better, according to the level of regional economic development to purchase the cable, wire type.
Q: How should connectors for storage device cables and connectors for power supply be described?
Storage cables have basically 3 types: IDE, SATA and SCSI, and are referred to by those names. Power connectors are sometimes called molex connectors after the company that first made them, or just power connectors and their applicable voltage they supply.
Q: Im looking for a sata cable that has one connector to the mother board and splits in two to connectors for to two HDD's (just like the old IDE cables )IM NOT LOOKING FOR THE POWER CABLE IM LOOKING FOR THE DATA CABLEdo you know were i can find one please give link were i can buy or tutorial were i can make my own
You okorder /
Q: I am trying to install a dc power outlet and it says i need to connect to the direct power cable. How do I find it?
connect it to the battery
Q: I have a cam camcorder battery charger power cable and I want to use it as a ps1 power cable. Is It possible. The both look the same.
If your talking about the end that looks like an 8 then yes it should work fine. That is a unerversual power cable. However if your PS1 has a small single round hole, i would be careful. Make sure the power is the same, you can check this by looking on the bottom, it should tell you what the conversion is, for ex: like 120v to 6v. Make sure your not throwing to much poser into your ps1.
Q: When I plug in my xbox that wire with the box on it has a red light instead of a green and ocassionally it turns yellow and my xbox wont turn on how do I fix this
lol its not the red ring of death as the first answer said and even if it was that CAN be fixed.its obviously something wrong with the adapter (the box with the wire on it lol) and not the xbox itself so if your xbox is still under warranty then you can just send it back to get fixed.if not then you may need to invest in a new adapter/power cable
Q: im curious to know if using multiple small cables to power my amp is the same or better than using a single big one??like do three 4gauge wires give more power than one 1/0 gauge wire? or is it worse?and how do i know if my amp needs more current?? THANKS
a lot worse actually. if you think you are gonna get a 2nd amp, go for bigg wire an 1/0 guage could beat 5 or more 4 guages, because the current would be very accurate. the only time you split ur wire is to go to a diff amplifier that will draw its own current, otherwise ur probably not being accurate with it. ur amp needs more current if it doesn't stay consistent or if it goes into protection. ask another question, and include statts on ur amplifier like ohm loads and RMS and what fuses are on the side of it
Q: I live in the uk
Laptops each have different power cords, because they have different connections to the laptop itself, so there's no one universal power cable. However, you can easily buy generic powercords for your specific laptop that are cheap. Just go to a site like Amazon and search for your laptop name.
Q: I never expected this problem, but I have an HP with a liteon power supply. The thing has these weird clips on the power cables that go into the hard drive. How do I free the hard drive power cables? I have to put in a new power supply for my video card.
SATA just pulls out.. actually so does molex connectors (for IDE drives).. just very tough sometimes to get them out. If its black and kinda thin, then its probably SATA and they should just pull straight out.
Q: I have a Netgear router and just now when I tried to plug the power cable back into the back of it, it would fit. I look more closely and it seems that the metal end of the power cable may be slightly bent. But I'm still confused because it's bent at the end of the metal, and even though the very tip of it isn't bent, that part still won't even slide into place a little. Could anyone help me in resolving this issue?
If it is the correct adapter for the router and it fitted before, gently force it and it will comfortably fit eventually. There is probably a reason it doesn't fit now (it has been pulled out with some force) so I would suggest getting a new power adapter for it if the above does not work
