- You might try using a liquid fabric softener. Sounds crazy but if it will remove hardened latex paint it may remove the adhesive without damaging your carpet. You can also do this throughout your home to reduce static electricity in the winter time. There is also a product called L.A.s Awesome I purchase it at Dollar General Stores in OK, it removes all kinds of stuff.

- I'd buy carpet protectors. They are long self adhesive rolls of clear plastic that builders use on the carpeted floors in model homes so people don't walk on the carpet. You can get these at Home Depot or Lowes. They just roll out, stick to the carpet, cut and do another length the same way until you cover the entire room. Easy to pull up again when you are done. I'd overlap each strip by an inch to be extra sure that nothing gets under it.

I merely keep them in an previous cubby hollow specially situations or purchase some new clothing when I even have the time. yet whilst they are truly bothering you basically putting there empty, take stuff out of your cloth wardrobe drawers and carry those up too. via the way, I basically have seventeen empty hangers now- I have been given rid of the grotesque ones and colour code via clothing varieties (long sleeve, short sleeve, etc) Hooray for OCD!!! - It's very easy. Start at a corner then pull on the carpet. You may need to remove the underlay after you remove the carpet. It's done the same way. Then remove the staples that they used to hold the under lay done. Remove the wooden strips that go around the out side of the floor that held the carpet down Go for it. Nothing ventured nothing gained. All the tools needed are a ,hammer,and a skew driver to get under the wooden strips and the staples.

- I used to take my area rugs to my local chem-dry they'd clean them. I don't think there is a machine large enough to handle an 8x10 rug. Best of luck to you!
