Q: I've seen commuters that ride fixed gear and the traditional pista bike with gears. Now, as I saw on the bianchi website that you can mount front and rear brakes on the bianchi steel pista bike and I want to use it to ride to water polo and school.I've rode the ghetto fixed gear bike but it has gotten small for me. It was an aluminum bike. How strong is the steel? Is the frame strong enough to handle 150 lbs? Will the fork break easily if I ride over some cracks? Has anyone ridden the bianchi steel bike and the fork broke? HELP?Thanks.P.S. Please don't comment how I shouldn't use a pista bike on the road, if I can mount brakes then it can be used for road purposes.
Yes steel is a great material. It will be on the of the heavier side than aluminum depending on how well made the made the bike. I believe that steel is will definitely last a LONG time with the correct maintenance. Just keep it out of rain and every now and then strip down the bike and go through a thorough clean
Q: i have been playing with hand me down graphite shaft irons and wedges. i was wondering if someone of my stature (5'3, 90 lbs., 12 years old) should be using steel shafted irons. i can definately swing them im just wondering if they are better for making contact
Yes, i my self is 5'5, 100 lbs 13 years old and i am still using graphite shafts. I am soon making the switch to steel shafts although they are heavier, they make better contact, have better consistency of hitting shots and also hit further as they are heavier. Hope this helps you to making your switch to steel shafts, I'm getting mine very very soon

Q: What are the different methods of cutting edge trimming for steel coils?
There are several different methods of cutting edge trimming for steel coils, each with its own advantages and applications. Some of the most commonly used methods include: 1. Shearing: Shearing is a widely used method that involves cutting the edge of the steel coil using a pair of sharp blades. This method is relatively quick and efficient, making it suitable for high-volume production. However, shearing may result in some distortion or burrs along the cut edge. 2. Slitting: Slitting is a process where the steel coil is passed through a set of rotating circular blades that cut the coil into narrower strips. This method is commonly used when precise width control is required, such as in the production of narrow strips or slitting coils into multiple widths. 3. Laser cutting: Laser cutting is a highly precise method that uses a laser beam to cut through the steel coil. This method offers the advantage of producing clean and precise cuts without any distortion or burrs. Laser cutting is often used for complex or intricate shapes that require high accuracy. 4. Plasma cutting: Plasma cutting involves using a jet of ionized gas to cut through the steel coil. This method is particularly suitable for cutting thicker materials or for applications where high cutting speeds are required. Plasma cutting can produce clean and smooth cuts, although the edge may have a slight bevel. 5. Waterjet cutting: Waterjet cutting utilizes a high-pressure jet of water mixed with an abrasive material to cut through the steel coil. This method is highly versatile and can cut through a wide range of materials and thicknesses. Waterjet cutting is known for its ability to produce precise cuts without any heat-affected zone. 6. Sawing: Sawing is a traditional method that involves using a rotating saw blade to cut through the steel coil. This method is commonly used for thicker materials or when a rougher cut is acceptable. Sawing can be performed manually or using automated sawing machines. Each of these methods has its own advantages and considerations, and the choice of method depends on factors such as the required accuracy, production volume, material thickness, and desired edge quality.

Q: which is the most tough and durable steel type ??
C'mon. Really? That's your question? How about some actual details like the application, is it going to be formed into a shape, do you need to weld it, what type of environment like corrosion and temperature is it going to be subject to? There are roughly 2,000 grades of steel and a couple hundred grades of stainless steel. Steels can be soft or they can be exceptionally hard. We need more info please.
Q: What are the best types of steel for swords
Don't know too much but I know combat grade katanas are made out of folded carbon-steel. Could also look into industrial steel grading systems if you are looking for something to show off at a martial arts tournament or something.
Q: I know the law regarding selling steel core ammo, but is it possible to buy a steel core bullet and load it yourself?
I don't ever recall seeing reloading components listed as steel core but I guess they could be out there. Why on earth would you want to load steel core if regular projectiles are available?
Q: What are the different cutting methods for steel coils?
There are several different cutting methods that can be used for steel coils, depending on the specific requirements and desired outcome. Some of the most common cutting methods for steel coils include: 1. Slitting: Slitting is a method that involves cutting the steel coil into narrower strips. This is typically done using a slitting machine that features multiple circular blades. The machine will unwind the coil and pass it through the blades, which will cut it into the desired width. Slitting is commonly used for applications that require narrower strips of steel, such as in the manufacturing of automotive parts or electrical appliances. 2. Shearing: Shearing is a cutting method that involves using a shear machine to cut through the steel coil. The machine will have a straight blade that is pressed against the coil, effectively cutting it into desired lengths or shapes. Shearing is often used for applications that require precise cuts or when the steel coil needs to be cut into specific sizes. 3. Laser cutting: Laser cutting is a more advanced cutting method that uses a high-powered laser to cut through the steel coil. The laser beam is directed onto the coil, melting or vaporizing the metal and creating a clean and accurate cut. Laser cutting is highly precise and can be used to cut intricate designs or patterns into the steel coil. It is often used in industries such as aerospace, automotive, and electronics. 4. Plasma cutting: Plasma cutting is a cutting method that uses a high-velocity jet of ionized gas to melt and remove the metal from the steel coil. It is important to consult with a professional or specialist to determine the most suitable cutting method for your specific needs.
Q: I'm getting my nose pierced, meaning that i have to keep the piercing in for a prolonged time. i've always had reactions when wearing sterling silver or fake earrings (i dont know what types of metal they were) after wearing it overnight. Will I get a reaction on my nose piercing if the stud is surgical steel?
The chances of a reaction from the stud is minimal. Surgical steel is an alloy specifically designed to make sterile safe surgical equipment. Often made with titanium or nickel, surgical steel is highly reactive and forms an oxidized layer when made. This layer creates a stable surface. The titanium and nickel are both very hard and resistant to scratches which make for easy sterilization. This will help keep your piercing clean. Be sure to follow the directions you receive when you get your piercing and keep it clean.
