Q: The basin of the faucet with marble is black: Artificial marble, the quality is relatively poor.

Q: Ive poured pounds of food particles down my kitchen sink, and I dont even have a in-sink grinder, and the sink never clogs. But one well-timed dump can clog the toilet like that. Why is that?: My hypothosis is all the hair that goes down the bathroom drains causes the toilet to back up. Hair doesn't rot like food does and isn't as biodegradable. One time the maintenance man came to my apartment that I had lived in for four years because my shower/bath was draining so slow. When I came home he had pulled enough hair out of the drain it was the size of a rabbit...lmao!!!! I was so embarrassed.

Q: So it's one o'clock in the morning and my boyfriend gets up to go to the bathroom. Then a few minutes later I hear a loud boomand I go running to see what happened. There is a large crack down the side of our ceramic bathroom sink all the way down to the metal piping. Q: I have gurgling noise in my bathroom sink. I have snaked up through the vent pipe-through the bathroom sink (and that will stop the gurgling for a few months but then it comes back). I don't beleive the snake goes all the way to the roof (but I'm sure it's close). Any suggestions?Should I buy an extra extra long snake, and snake the pipe all the way to the roof?Should I climb on the roof and put a garden hose in the vent pipe and turn the water on?; if so what risks/problems should I be mindful of before putting water down the vent pipe via a garden hose?Thanks: Sounds like a vent problem. Flushing with a garden hose will not cause any problems since the roof vent is merely an extension of the main waste pipe. If you live in an area where freezing occurs, do not put a flat screen over the vent pipe. Condensation will occur and the moisture will freeze and form a seal over the pipe, blocking it.

Q: Both my bathtub and bathroom sink are clogged! They are not just a little clogged, the tub takes a long time to drain, and nothing goes down, and the bathroom sink just doesn't drain at all.I have tried Drain-OAny ideas of what to do next?: The stoppage is at the junction of the sink and tub connection point. Drain-0 only works in the p-trap. Home Depot sells a liquid drain cleaner in a 1 qt black bottle that's packed into a plastic bag. It's a very strong acid. I believe it is hydrochloric acid. Follow directions and pour the recommended quantity down the sink drain. It will work it's way down the the stoppage. Let it sit for about 1 hr. I've used it twice with success. I'm saying the sink drain because the stoppage appears to be at the junction of the sink and tub drain with the major stoppage on the sink side.

The issue is to measure the cut out on the counter top, assure that the sink has a lip to cover, perhaps 1/2 inch all around to cover the cut, caulk before setting the new sink,,,After assurance that the plumbing lines up beneath, use the brackets from beneath, that pull the sink tight to the counter top, If they are offered, hook up the down drain pipe to the P Trap, and the intake lines to the faucet, and turn it on,,,slowly at first to determine proper connections. Trailers per say,,,as in tow arounds, often have specifically sized fixturing. Mobile Homes which are not strictly Mobile, can accept regular house fixturing. Most bath sinks are between 19 and 22 inches, oval, round, or otherwise, and all that's best required is pulling the old sink and measuring the opening before you shop. Steven Wolf
