- Q: I'm building another computer to give to someone, i have all the parts and when it got down to installing the CD drive and the Hard drive i plugged the sata cables into the motherboard but when i looked to install them to the power supply mine did not have any of those cables. I had spare cables from my other power supply but they require you to plug them into the power supply but since the other power supply is older it doesn't work. I was wondering if i could get cables that plug into the extra connectors then to the CD drive/ Hard drive instead of plugging them into the power supply then the CD drive/ Hard drive.
- There's 2 types of power connectors, old style 4-pin Molex and Sata power. Adapters are pretty cheap, just check Monoprice.

- You may have loosened a connection. With the breaker off, check all the outlets on the circuit that's losing power and make sure all the connections are tight.

- Thats nothing new..Molex connectors often stick do not try to pull it out by the wires! grab it by the sides of the connector and wiggle it back and forth (side to side) it will come out eventually!

- lol its not the red ring of death as the first answer said and even if it was that CAN be fixed.its obviously something wrong with the adapter (the box with the wire on it lol) and not the xbox itself so if your xbox is still under warranty then you can just send it back to get fixed.if not then you may need to invest in a new adapter/power cable

- Q: The green light on the back of the power supply comes on when the power cable is plugged. also, every time i plug in the power cable, the fan on the power supply wants to spin, but it stops. - i believe the unique provide replaced into probable effective.... basically no longer completely 'firing' because the burden is in mistakes. a short or different mistakes on the feed area is undesirable. this way of means provide reacts to, and is managed through, the burden. hard to describe!
